Do you have a supply of lateral flow tests at home ?

My assumption is that most people have a box or two at home especially if you have school age children or go out to work ?

Yep

LoveComesQuickly · 29/11/2021 18:44

Yes - my teenage children bring them home from school.

swashbucklecheer · 29/11/2021 18:45

Yes both of us work in schools

megletthesecond · 29/11/2021 18:45

Yes. Four boxes on my desk. 2 dc's at secondary so we get through a lot.

Hadalifeonce · 29/11/2021 18:45

Yes, we always do one before visiting elderly relatives, or on the odd occasion DH ventures into the office.

cobblers123 · 29/11/2021 18:45

Yes, for visiting my dad in care home.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 29/11/2021 18:48

Yes, I live in a hotspot, they’ve been giving them away like sweets since about March.

CaptainCallisto · 29/11/2021 18:48

Yes - I'm a TA so have been doing them twice weekly for work

BonnesVacances · 29/11/2021 18:50

Yes. DH and DS are doing the saliva tests now but we still have a supply of LFTs for in between.

Carrotte · 29/11/2021 18:51

I'd have thought so but was surprised today 5 people on my team had no idea they were only 15 minute up the nose things now

WildWombat · 29/11/2021 18:54

Nope, and genuinely have no idea where to get them. Pharmacy? I guess schools supply them for the kids?

OneEpisode · 29/11/2021 18:57

I have a stack. From the pharmacy at first, then from work. These are the lateral flows. Most people I work with are the same. One colleague says he DH is testing for both of them, he has PCRs done every work day.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 29/11/2021 18:57

Hundreds.

Work in care. My boss keeps giving us boxes of 30…

Struggling to store them.

Donatella · 29/11/2021 19:00

Yep, I order a box online every couple of weeks, plus DD brings them home from school every so often. Today there were a couple of guys in the town centre handing them out, I took 3 boxes but they didn't seem to be getting many takers 🤷‍♀️

nordica · 29/11/2021 19:01

Yes, not a huge supply though because I don't have kids and wfh so I get them by ordering online only.

Hoptoit1 · 29/11/2021 19:01

Yes 2 at secondary school and 1 at sixth form college - they take it in turns to pick up a box from school. Like to have a weeks worth minimum as school sometimes have supply issues, I did once order from government website which was quick and easy.
Also dc been to guide/scouts where they are asked to take lft before hand.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 29/11/2021 19:03

Yes, loads.

Akire · 29/11/2021 19:03

I do but it is a pain as only give u 7 at time. So if you do the 2 a week they suggest you need order again every two weeks.

Exhausteddog · 29/11/2021 19:04

We normally have 2 boxes. The kids get given them occassionally from school and otherwise I order online and they get posted to you. Usually arrive the next day.
At work most people in my workspace are self employed. One tests regularly because his mum is in a care home. I'm pretty sure the others don't, unless they have to for hospital appointments or going on holiday. None have school age children.

tweezerman · 29/11/2021 19:04

Thanks.

If you work and or have children I would be surprised if you didn't have some at home.

Some work colleagues never cease to surprise me with excuses not to come into work whilst they await a delivery of tests. Usually on Friday or Monday 🤣

Yes work for NHS and were being g supplied with tests but now have to get them through test and trace.
Have a open box and an unopened one.

Coronado2 · 29/11/2021 19:04

Yeah, I order online every time we finish a box, plus DD brings a box home from school every now and then, so we normally have 2 or 3 boxes.

CMOTDibbler · 29/11/2021 19:05

Yes, they even had them to take at our local supermarket yesterday, or pick up at the pharmacy. Usually I order them online though

catfunk · 29/11/2021 19:05

My tests come through my letter box op -
Why are they waiting at home for them ?

jesusmaryjosephandtheweedonkey · 29/11/2021 19:06

@tweezerman tell them they can just go the pharmacy and collect them
