I'm watching Sky News, and they have said there will be a news conference this afternoon... but why do they never say at what time? I've also had this on BBC news too previously. It is so infuriating Angry

YANBU- It is annoying they do not specify a time.
YABU- In 2021 you should search the internet to find it yourself.

I do not know how to do AIBU polls. One day I will figure it out and add it on.

When you're posting OP just underneath where you type it says "enable voting?" Which is actually defaulted to Yes I think so I think you must be switching it off without realising.

Anyway YANBU and when they say it's 5pm (the usual time they go for) they're usually late or talk around a subject for ages and then don't really say what they mean anyway.

It's always 5pm! But occasionally doesn't start til much later. Wonder if Boris will show his face today.

SnowyMouse · 27/11/2021 15:54

I wonder which channels?

Theplantisgrowing · 27/11/2021 15:55

BBC obvs no?

PurpleDaisies · 27/11/2021 15:56

Those details are always on the number 10 twitter feed.

Carrotte · 27/11/2021 16:13

Do they always do a conference on Saturdays or is this new? Reminds me of the days I used to tune in daily for it.

PurpleDaisies · 27/11/2021 16:14

No this is unusual.

They did them on Saturdays right at the beginning but the viewing figures were poor so they ditched them.

RoseAndRose · 27/11/2021 16:14

BBC1 is showing an utterly fantastic rugby match - they'd better not cut that short!!

lockdownalli · 27/11/2021 16:14

Is it because they found Omicron in UK? Sad

PurpleDaisies · 27/11/2021 16:17

@lockdownalli

Most likely.

I think it will just be an update and pleading with people to follow the (not mandatory) mask/social distance/vaccine etc advice.

Thank you. I'm a bit worried about it all now.
SpringRainbow · 27/11/2021 16:20

Apparently ‘measures’ will be announced.

Whatever that means?!

Where is this from?
Fallagain · 27/11/2021 16:22

At 5. Anyone want to bet what time BoJo will actually turn up?

It all depends whether he had luncheon beforehand.

Where is this from?

Mumsnet mainly. The no.10 twitter feed just mentions the press conference not restrictions.

LivinLaVidaLoki · 27/11/2021 16:34

Sorry, 'measures' not restrictions

Firevixen · 27/11/2021 16:36

BBC website says that 2 cases have been found in the UK.

IndigoC · 27/11/2021 16:36

It will just be travel measures, reintroducing PCRs on arrival, most likely.

AnneLovesGilbert · 27/11/2021 16:37

They have found cases of it here.

PurpleDaisies · 27/11/2021 16:37

Mumsnet mainly

So just speculation then? Nobody who is actually likely to be in the know has said this?

It would have been useful to have added that information to your previous post.

Yep, if Boris is leading it then there's no point watching until at least 5.20pm, and even then it could be another 20 minutes or so until he shows up and makes a start. 🤣
CreepySpider · 27/11/2021 16:38

Sky News is saying “the health minister has already said the Prime Minister will be announcing new measures…” although it does go on to say plan b is unlikely although it’s possible Boris will listen to those who feel it should be brought in.

LivinLaVidaLoki · 27/11/2021 16:39

@PurpleDaisies
What previous post? I was just answering your question to another poster.
