I'm watching Sky News, and they have said there will be a news conference this afternoon... but why do they never say at what time? I've also had this on BBC news too previously. It is so infuriating

YANBU- It is annoying they do not specify a time.
YABU- In 2021 you should search the internet to find it yourself.

He basically did announce it, “tightening rules on masks in shops and public transport” can only mean bringing back masks. I don’t know why he then said “oh but Sajid Javid will announce it later”. Like he didn’t want to be the one to actually say it.

Oh that's interesting about "Xi"! I guess "Nu" variant could be a bit confusing when it's being discussed verbally? It sounds like new variant.

"Nu" sounds like "New" in English.

They had to skip nu because it would just sound like the "new" variant.

If it is legislation they have to announce it to parliament first to stop the speaker getting pissed off with them yet again.

They were pretty nippy shutting the borders this time I think, they can have an achievement point for that!
