Has anyone had this? I've had my invitation for my booster and am a bit concerned as I just felt a bit poorly after my first 2 jabs that having a difference vaccine might cause problems...

Yes-I had Pfizer after initial AZ and felt dreadful!

Sirzy · 16/11/2021 09:19

I had pfizer booster felt a bit rubbish for 24 hours then was fine. Nowhere near as bad as I did after the first AZ

SirVixofVixHall · 16/11/2021 09:20

I am also worried as I was unwell for two weeks after my first AZ and six after my second.
It seems sensible to have the booster but I can’t cope with being that ill all over Christmas etc. Or having an even worse reaction.

2anddone · 16/11/2021 09:25

I had AZ both times felt really ill and had to go to bed for 2 days and didn't feel 'right' for about a week each time.
Had Moderna booster Saturday and other than a sore arm (still tender today) no other side effects what so ever.

gamerchick · 16/11/2021 09:33

I was fine after the AZ. Tired the next day but that's it. Id rather have AZ again tbh but once it's out the way then it's done.

LittleMo234 · 16/11/2021 09:42

Blimey, it really is pot luck isn't it?

I guess whatever the side effects are they've got to be better than covid so I'll have to put on my big girl pants and get on with it...

Fingers crossed it won't be any worse than the AZ reaction I had where I just felt like I was going down with a cold for 24 hours after the first one and tired after the second. I'll book it for a Saturday so I can spend the next day in bed if I need to...

I felt terrible after both AZ ones, so very reluctant to have another of anything. Icould barely speak, my legs were going into spasms and jumping around the bed. My neck was spasming so bad I pulled a muscle. I know I should go get the booster, but I keep putting it off.

Sonex · 16/11/2021 10:12

I had Pfizer recently after 2 AZ- no side effects at all except for a minorly sore arm.

First AZ I felt really terrible for a week - flu-like symptoms, headaches, exhausted, pain between the eyes. It was much worse that I was expecting. Really felt bad - was considering reporting it as felt so rough. Second AZ was fine - bit tired but nothing much. I was expecting Pfizer to cause a reaction but really nothing except a minor sore arm for a few hours (lasted much less time than the AZs).

I was really worried as I was doing a 12 hour trip on 2 flights the day after but I had zero symptoms.

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 16/11/2021 10:29

Just had my third dose this morning - at my hospital appointment beforehand, the specialist said he'd had three staff go off sick for a few days, but he'd been fine and cycled to and from work (10 miles each way) as normal because he didn't feel any different.

Hoping I'm fine as I've got too much to do at work this week to take time off.

RobinPenguins · 16/11/2021 10:31

My parents and sister have had this combination, parents were fine, sister felt rubbish for a few days (she’s pregnant though so don’t know if that had an impact). Definitely pot luck, not a given that you’ll feel awful.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 16/11/2021 10:37

AZ AZ Moderna

All 3 wiped me out for a week. 😭 l think Moderna was the worst.

IncomeThread · 16/11/2021 11:00

I felt awful after first AZ, tired after second, and then fine after Pfizer booster except sore arm Smile

Itsnotover · 16/11/2021 11:10

I've got my booster today. It's going to be Pfizer after AZ. I've been concerned.

MissSmiley · 16/11/2021 11:15

AZ AZ Moderna
I'm still feeling rough today (off work) after booster on Saturday

SoOverThisCrap · 16/11/2021 14:02

I had AZ AZ and had the Moderna at 9.30am this morning and feel rotten. My head is so sore (I'm also a migraine sufferer)
I felt very rough after my first AZ vaccine, again, a bad headache that lasted 24 hours, but I was ok after the second AZ jab.
I'm hoping the effects of this Moderna one bugger off v soon, my head is so sore at the moment and I feel nauseous.

ilovesooty · 16/11/2021 14:06

No reaction to 2 AZ nor to the Pfizer booster.

Itsnotover · 16/11/2021 14:25

Moderna seems to make people feel ill - I know 2 people who had to have time off work. It's supposed to be a really good vaccine though.

I had Pfizer today. Feel fine at the moment. I had AZ in feb and then May. Whether I get ill or not I'll take that rather than Covid.

DementedPanda · 16/11/2021 14:29

I had moderna on Friday. Still don't feel right. Sore arm, headaches that come and go and bouts of nausea.

The AZ had me wiped out for nearly a week though.

PurplePumpkinDream · 16/11/2021 19:43

I had AZ AZ no side effects at all. Then Covid 4 months later 3/4 weeks flu like symptoms. Now Pfizer booster tired and achy first 24 hrs.

Angel2702 · 16/11/2021 19:47

Had mine Saturday had very sore arm for 24hrs and I’ve had sore lymph nodes in my armpit for a day. Other than that felt fine, much better than after my flu jab this year.

lovingmysummer · 16/11/2021 20:23

I had the same and felt absolutely fine.
My arm was sore but it always is when I have vaccines.
I only felt really dreadful when I had my first AZ vaccine but I took painkillers and carried on.

SpookyPumpkinPants · 16/11/2021 20:26

@gamerchick

I was fine after the AZ. Tired the next day but that's it. Id rather have AZ again tbh but once it's out the way then it's done.
@gamerchick

If it helps any, I had AZ/AZ then Pfizer booster, felt totally fine!!

Mantlemoose · 16/11/2021 20:32

First two AZ - had my Pfizer booster today - already got a sore throat but I think it's my imagination!

SpookyPumpkinPants · 16/11/2021 20:36

@LittleMo234. Yes, pot luck! Everyone's body reacts differently. Having different types of vaccines triggers different responses & builds a better immunity.

If you feel unwell after, try not to think of it as 'unwell' but your body learning too fight Covid - building strength. Like tired muscles after a training run!

hattie500 · 16/11/2021 20:40

I had both AZ AND HAD NO SIDE EFFECTS feel like
I'm the only one who had no side effects lol I bet when I get my booster I will be ill ☹️
