I can get on board with WFH if you can, masks in public places especially buses and trains.

"Why should anyone have to blackmail us into getting vaccines? They are a good idea.

There are people in other parts of the world who would dearly like to have access to vaccines, we are lucky to have them"

Because of free will and human rights. Nothing comes without a side effect/possible danger. Its down to the individual to make that choice thats right for them. No one should be forced nor black mailed into having the vaccine. Before anyone complains that vaccine refuses are selfish, remember all the homeless, elderly and vunerable people and those literally living on the bread line. There are many good people out there, let's not stigmatise them for not having the vaccine. Remember not that long ago the gay/irish/black & trangender people were heavily stigmatised, here in the UK. Please don't let the government brainwash you, into discriminating against unvaccinated people.

I think that in matters of public health, people need to do what's right for the population as a whole.

Those who are prepared to put the health of wider society at risk for the sake of their own beliefs can't reasonably expect to carry on being allowed to mix, unmasked, in crowded public spaces.

^this

But the Tories are held hostage to corporate landlords who want their rents and Pret A Manger profit.

MarshaBradyo · 21/10/2021 09:01

It’s not just Pret and landlords in the sector I’m in going back recently has seen growth and recruitment pick up, wfh dampens this.

Gizmo98765 · 21/10/2021 17:31

Totally agree with @LakieLady 💯

Choosing not to have the vaccine is a matter of choice (clearly). Choices have consequences.

You can't choose to be gay, black or Irish - it's not clear to me why you think these are comparable to choosing to not have a vaccine.

OK - hands up who's taken a lateral flow test today?
This week ?
Ever?

Never taken one.
Parker231 · 21/10/2021 18:15

Did an LFT at the weekend as I visit an elderly neighbour and do his shopping and did one this morning as I was going into the office. Usually do 2-3 a week depending upon who I am seeing and where I’m going.

toomuchlaundry · 21/10/2021 18:23

Not done LFT today but did one yesterday as visiting a school and will do one tomorrow as getting together with friends. I also do them for things like medical appointments, hairdresser, visiting elderly relatives

JesusIsAnyNameFree · 21/10/2021 18:27

@XenoBitch

Why not?

Etinoxaurus · 21/10/2021 18:35

Every couple of days since 18/1/21!
It was a requirement at work, first visiting a lateral flow centre, then via the ones you pick up at pharmacies. I’ve also done 2 day 2 tests and a couple of pcr tests. Most of my peers (london woh) have too.

Etinoxaurus · 21/10/2021 18:37

@Ilovelblue

Another great one liner from the nun who can forge documents.
Oh please tell us more!
XenoBitch · 21/10/2021 18:37

[quote JesusIsAnyNameFree]@XenoBitch

I don't go anywhere.

Parker231 · 21/10/2021 18:37

@Etinoxaurus - I seem to have done so many. I was until recently a volunteer vaccinator so did one before each visit. DH is a GP and does one each day as he is seeing so many patients each day.

toomuchlaundry · 21/10/2021 18:38

@XenoBitch have you not been out of your house since this all started?

XenoBitch · 21/10/2021 18:41

I walk my dog, and the occasional visit to the shop when it is quiet.

Mesoavocado · 21/10/2021 18:48

Three times a week here. DS had them daily when third of his class had COVID

XenoBitch · 21/10/2021 18:49

I was taken to hospital via ambulance this year, and I thought they would have given me an LFT then, but nope.

Etinoxaurus · 21/10/2021 18:53

@XenoBitch did you know you can pick up lft’s for free from pharmacies or have them delivered to your door?
I have a feeling I’m being doin genius or have missed a massive backstory!

snowflake29f · 21/10/2021 18:59

I am a free person I am also toxic free and I will stay that way . I will not be forced to be vaccinated or to ingest any medication. My medication is homemade and I know what goes into it . I’m 50 years old and never been in a hospital or to a doctor.
But if you wish to have medication and vaccines that’s ok by me but don’t force pills and jabs on me as I don’t force my roots and herbs on you . My choice my body .

Etinoxaurus · 21/10/2021 19:02

Disingenuous 😳

JesusIsAnyNameFree · 21/10/2021 19:02

@XenoBitch

You must have seen friends or family though?
