Current turn around time for NHS PCR?

My DD (18 + double vaccinated)) and I are due to go away for a UK weekend break this weekend, leaving Friday lunchtime.

DD started feeling unwell during this morning and we took her down for a PCR test at a drive in centre this afternoon.

Does anyone have experience of the current turn around times for results?

Her school has a bout of colds at the moment, so fingers crossed it's just that, but obviously we need a definite answer before we can go away.

South west Wales drive through test 630 pm Monday, results (negative) 930am tues - 15 hours.

Walk in test centre near a huge covid lab 17hrs. We were lucky to catch the post, the attendant said.(1pm)

My dd went for a pcr at a drive through centre on Monday 10am and we're still waiting..desperately hoping to get it back soon as it's her bday Friday and party sat

Drive thru was quicker. Took about 15 hours.

That was for walk in.
Tests on three different occasions last week.

Test noon Wednesday (yesterday), results by email just now overnight at 4am, so 16 hours. East London.

Someone was asking upthread: they seem to email all hours but they usually wait until 6/7am to send the texts!

South East, I had a test along with two of my children on Sunday at 9am, my results came in at 2am Monday (17 hours), the children's came in at 2pm (29 hours). Not sure why the difference but all quicker than I was expecting.

I had mine at 10am yesterday morn, had my +I've result at 3am

Last week 10am results by email 6.30 the following morning - local drive thru site. Took dd2 to have a test last night at 6.30 haven't had the result yet, we went to a walk through site this time. NW England.

DH's result eventually arrived at 8pm last night so 30 hours.
DD sent a postal one yesterday afternoon so hopefully it'll come back today

Tested midday Sunday and still waiting. Chased it up and was told we may need yo wait another three days! My barely poorly son has missed school all week so far. Getting v fed up

29 hours and still waiting in the NE. I feel absolutely fine now after 3 days of feeling dreadful and just want to know the result. For the first time in about 18 months I've actually got plans this weekend and I really want to be able to go!!

Dd2's results came back about 9.15 this evening so 27 hours, luckily just one day of school missed.

DH did a PCR yesterday mid morning, no result yet. I did one this morning at the same test centre, result back this evening 🤷‍♀️

I'm in wales. 3pm test - husband got his 12am next day, mine 4pm! Both done at the same time

I took my son yesterday at 12.30pm, result came back this morning around 7.30am.

South west drive through yesterday 2.30pm, still waiting. 32 hours +.

The last 2 we've had were back in less than 12 hours .

Mine had finally come back (negative) at 5.30am from being tested at 12.30pm on Weds so nearly 42 hours in the end (In the NE).

We are still waiting ....41 hrs so far.

I am keeping my fingers crossed we get the result in time . I am really sure it's a negative, as her teacher and several in the her class have had a very similar cold and all had negative tests. However we won't leave without the result.

Typical luck she was the last to come down with it.

Pcr for me and Son taken Wednesday 4pm at our walk in site and still waiting. There seems to be such a large range of waiting times!
