@Sparklingbrook

So the mystery still remains as to the point of this thread. confused @MeiganMcSeinna6 hasn't bothered to return and comment or anything.

The point of this thread Is that it encourages others to get out and about and live their life to the max
We only get one
This isn’t a dress rehearsal

All over 3 counties for work, never stopped, up to 1.5 hours each way. Then Cornwall, Devon, Yorkshire, London as well.

Is that what you think the OP was trying to do? Interesting.

To the hospital 15 minutes from home last October. I'm disabled CEV & housebound, I haven't driven since March last year, my car is sat on the drive & has only moved when it was collected to be serviced.

PinniGig · 23/08/2021 04:24

15 min car drive to a funeral last week. This morning I'm moving my daughter into her new flat which is a 45 minute drive. I feel like we're going on a wild "Thelma and Louise" journey together. Travel sickness tablets, Starburst and drinks already in the glovebox ready for our wild adventure.

Staying overnight too. We're going nuts.

garlictwist · 23/08/2021 05:09

I went to Dorset in may for a holiday (7 hour drive). I've also been for a few mini breaks much closer to home in Northumberland and the lakes.

Can't be arsed going abroad at the moment.

shinynewapple21 · 23/08/2021 08:41

The OP should have added a second part to this question. What is the furthest you've travelled in the last year - and how does this differ to your normal life? People who haven't left their home town since March 2020 might not travel during normal times.

Loudestcat14 · 23/08/2021 08:43

Four-hour flight to Greece – here right now!

Not leaving your home town in 18 months sounds incredibly unhealthy for body and mind, OP.

Eu Mallorca, and menorca tomorrow.

UK South Wales, devoted, Cornwall, Cheshire..

BertieBotts · 23/08/2021 11:29

The only place we would want to go would be another country. We would probably be visiting the UK this summer if we hadn't just had a new baby. As it is crossing borders seems complicated and I'm not vaccinated yet. Hoping to change that over the next few weeks.

FrenchyQ · 23/08/2021 11:35

100 miles several times to drop/pick up dd from university

OddestSock · 23/08/2021 11:52

250 miles for a funeral. 150 miles for a UK holiday.
