Urgh double vaxxed, +ve LFT feeling rough

Waiting for my PCR results. Feeling so rough. Everything aches. I've taken paracetamol and slept most of the day. Feel like I've got the beginning of a cold and feel feverish but can't take my temp as the thermometer broke a while ago.
Urgh urgh urgh. Not really sure why I'm posting really!

Day 4 here. Weird symptoms is eyes very sensitive to sunlight plus where I suffer with sciatic type pain in my lower back (sacroiliac joint), it’s permanently painful and even hurts to walk! Maybe the virus inflames your nerves?

Hope you’re not feeling too bad. Yes it hurts to walk for me too due to burning knee joints so strange!!

I've just said to DH that I feel like my nose & sinuses need regassing or something. I get some temporary relief in the shower allowing me to breathe in through my nose but then my nasal passages feel so dry afterwards. And whenever I can't breathe in through my nose I feel sick/start gagging. Feels very like pregnancy nausea except that I am way too old.

DH going to see if pharmacy can suggest a nasal spray or something to try.

Sure I'd benefit from eating something sensible but can't face anything.

Day 10 - defo on the mend now. Have antibac’d the shit out of the house this morning! Smell still not fully back but am slightly smelling things now. Itching to bring ddog for a walk, might go when it’s dark and no one is about!

Day 5 here and feeling much better aside from the overwhelming tiredness.

@Siameasy I have light sensitivity too and in general my eyes ache. Difficult to describe.

On the taste thing, can those that have lost their taste still taste salt? I can. My dd decided to test my taste by giving me a glass of salty water without me knowing. I was able to taste it straight away. This prompted a dash to the cupboard to taste other condiments... soy sauce, vinegar, lemon etc but nothing. No taste from them except a very slight one from the vinegar. God I hate this. Struggling to find any motivation to eat at all.

Day 12 here and been in hospital most of the day. Fluctuations in heart rate (48 at lowest, 117 highest both resting) tight chest, dizziness and breathlessness. D-dimer blood test came back very high so now on blood thinners and back Monday for CT as Dr believes it to be a pulmonary embolism.

I can smell perfume today though and could slightly taste my coffee so silver linings!

Did they swab you? Beware test and trace telling yiu to SI again....

Hope you recover soon. I am getting out soon.

My sense of smell os back. Sadly, this means I can smell hospital food.

No @Piggywaspushed they didn't, no extra PPE or anything either. Presumably I'm not contagious anymore?

I feel OK. Proof will be when I get home really as hospital makes you feel safe.I am very tired.

They swabbed me. It was positive. LF I did yesterday was negative. Should be an interesting call with Test and Trace.

That is really odd gnome because the minute I said I had tested positive on the 6th they put me straight into the covid zone.

Day 14 and I've been back in hospital since thurs. Sorry to hear you have gone downhill again Piggy. I know what you mean about the security of hospital. The staff on these wards may be burnt out but they are red hot at what can be done.
I'm on a covid ward on the full shebang of drugs plus oxygen.
Ironically my sense of taste came fully back on day 13. No idea about smell due to oxygen tubes.
Seemingly everyone gets hot and sweaty, patients because of covid, staff because of huge PPE coverage. All windows open but no fans allowed because too much virus sloshing around. Obvious fear of variants, thats why there is extra isolation for people who have been admitted to hospital.

I was still able to taste sweet, salty, sour etc and if I ate garlic powder I could taste that but I couldn't taste anything else.

Joining in if there’s room? Got sore aching legs that became extremely painful on Wednesday eve - assumed overdid it. Thursday more sore legs and tiredness - Friday extreme fatigue and did a test and positive

Spent today in bed with fairly heavy chest, blocked nose / head cold feeling, sore legs and if I stand up I’m dizzy and breathless. Laying down I’m much better!

Day 4. Smell completely gone (so unnerving) and taste 75% gone but can taste salt, sweet, bitter, sour, cool mint. Back pain resolved with ibuprofen and felt a lot more energetic today. Been gardening but sitting down often.
Worrying thing is my stomachs been churning and producing what DH says are awful smells. I of course can’t smell a thing.
In hindsight had tickly throat on Monday thought it was dust so is this really day 6?

Morning all. Back home and have had a decent night's sleep. A bit broken but in bed form 9.30 until 6.15. Still feel knackered, obviously, having had two night of no sleep. Not eaten but had a cup of tea.

I am back to the horrific hand sweating though. I hate it.

Gearing up for a no doubt futile argument with test and Trace later... I, at the very least, need to go for a walk today as I have been bed bound!

Just been called. Managed to talk her round to the 26th. Completely random date really but I can live with it.

Glad you're back home @Piggywaspushed and hope you're next @CatAlice. Get well soon to both of you. My last day of isolation today. Definitely not back to normal but getting there. Anyone else got burning sensation in their thighs? Am looking forward to a walk and being outside. I have been stuck at home for 2.5 weeks 😫.

All those who are stuck at home, make sure you still move around. I broke my leg in January and kept very still for the first 10 days, allowing a nice big blood clot to form, break off and travel upwards

Day 11 here. Getting better every day now. Went for two short walks with ddog yesterday. Was delighted with myself. I’m supposed to still be in self isolation as they are counting day 1 from the day I lost my sense of smell but I was sick for days before that so I defo think I’m on day 11 and probably should be allowed come and go as I please now. I’ll keep a low profile for the next few days though, just to be sure.

I managed to talk T and T into a compromise this morning bit it still counted 13 days from the 13th. She had no idea why. So mine is counted at 13th (day before last SI ended) til 26th. Weird.
