Urgh double vaxxed, +ve LFT feeling rough

Waiting for my PCR results. Feeling so rough. Everything aches. I've taken paracetamol and slept most of the day. Feel like I've got the beginning of a cold and feel feverish but can't take my temp as the thermometer broke a while ago.
Urgh urgh urgh. Not really sure why I'm posting really!

@Mum32021 Have they had PCR tests? Not saying you have to just that DH consistently tested negative on LFT's but positive on PCR. He's got no symptoms.

@gnomeygnome thats the results I'm waiting for today for me if that is a definite positive ill be testing everyone else to x

Day 9 - managed a shower today and out of pjs, result! Tiredness and very slight smell are my two main symptoms now. I still feel bunged up but I suffer with my sinuses anyway so am well used to it.

DS13 well on the mend now. Sporadic cough getting better every day. DH probably a couple of days behind me.

for those feeling shit and to those who can taste it! I am sick of chewing cardboard and forcing myself to eat I have lost 4lbs.

Day 10 and my chest is still bad but I definitely feel less tired so hopefully that's hopeful news for people in the thick of it I didn't have to sleep in the day yesterday which is much better. I'm epileptic and disrupted sleep patterns are a seizure trigger so I hate sleeping in the day. I'm actually amazed I have (although don't jinx it!) got through the last 10 days seizure free, with all the sleeping and high temperatures.

Hope people are on the road to recovery soon. The weather is meant to be nice next week which I think is always cheering.

Although I just realised nice weather might make self isolation worse if you don't have a garden so apologies for any insensitivity there

For those of us with a long list of symptoms, I thought this might amuse you. I just found a screenshot I saved in March 2020 with a list of symptoms to identify covid. It should be very a different list now.

Haha RainBow I’d say many of mine are opposite to that. The famous cough has barely manifested itself!

I’m day 7 and still needing cold & flu capsules every 4/5 hours. There doesn’t seem to be any let up yet.

Day 3 for me. Violent sneezing and irritation inside nose. Mouth ulcers! Back pain.
DH and DD both -ve on PCR. DD had a temperature which was what prompted ME to test! Hmmmm

Double vaccinated, had last vaccine early Feb. Felt tired on Tuesday but thought nothing of it as I always feel knackered! Had done neg lft Mon morning (work in nhs). Tues evening felt exhausted, achy, nose blocked. Did 2 lft and both positive. Pcr test Wed am which unsurprisingly came back positive yesterday morning. Feel wiped out, nose v congested, mild cough, aching all over and headache, sleeping a lot. Yesterday lost sense of smell then taste.
Now diarrhoea has started. I have been reading on the Covid zoe app about number of symptoms and increasing chance of hospitalisation the more symptoms you have, and now panicked myself. Everyone else in household fine so far. Dh sleeping in same bed as we don't have a spare room. I wonder if because I had my second vaccination so long ago ie 6 months that my immunity has waned? . Quite a few of my nhs colleagues who were also vaccinated at same time as me have also very recently had covid.

I've had all but about half a dozen of the symptoms on the Zoe app and haven't been anywhere near hospitalisation bad although I am into my seventh week of feeling like utter shite.

QueenStromba 7 weeks of symptoms! Gosh, there's me feeling sorry for myself and I have only been ill for 4 days.

Those who like me continue to have no taste or smell…what are you finding the most pleasant to drink? Everything tastes foul - water and tea for instance are utterly rank

Day 3 sense of smell gone 😭 taste still there but compromised

@croon979 tea is particularly rank and bitter to me? Mainly water with lots of ice and non alcoholic ginger beer for some fizz

How is everyone?

I tested positive on 3rd Aug after 5 days of negative lateral flows.

I'm still struggling with fatigue and breathless. Antibiotics seem to be helping a bit.

I need to physically go back into work for two days next week so am trying to build up stamina.

A bit fed up to be honest 😠😠😠

Day 7 for me today, headache has come back in full swing but the stuffy cold feeling is easing and my cough sounds like I smoke 40 a day 🤦‍♀️ still can't taste or smell anything, my 9 year old DD is now positive on the lft and is feeling rough shes coming home today after being with her dad and ive got the proper tests turning up for her today.

Hi all bit of an update- it's my day 14 since symptoms started. I went to work this week, felt ok apart from Thursday where I felt rough and exhausted so had a nap at lunchtime!
Sense of taste and smell is just returning but highly variable and still very weak. Coffee still tastes like chow mien water and I keep feeling queasy every evening. I'm 99% sure I'm not pregnant but haven't done a test! That would be the bloody icing on the cake lol!
I've got some upper back pain- feels like a bruise. And I'm having to take a decongestant every day as I'm still SO bunged up.
Apart from that I'm just dandy

Hi everyone I hope you are all feeling ok/recovering well and/or resting.

I’m double vaccinated 2nd dose in early May.

Day 2 for me. 2 x +ve LFD tests last night after feeling like I had a cold coming on all of a sudden and feeling horrible burning in my knee joints. I did two as I couldn’t quite believe the +ve result after seeing so many negatives when doing the children for school and me for work etc.

I’m using paracetamol and Ibruprofen at the moment. Feeling sorry for myself as sinus is very blocked and joints aching. And general feeling of fatigue :(

PCR booked for 2:30. Worried the whole household will now catch this I have 3 children in the home and a hubby and my mind is working overdrive and I think I’m overthinking and worrying. I’m worried my children may pick this up later and my miss first days of new schools ie college and secondary school etc etc and how that will impact them. I’m sorry I think I’m just worried.

I’ve got some big deadlines for work coming up next week so am worried about that too :(

I’m also worried as I feel quite rough for day 2 and am susceptible to chest infections so am trying to be positive but am a little scared.

Day 4 here. Weird symptoms is eyes very sensitive to sunlight plus where I suffer with sciatic type pain in my lower back (sacroiliac joint), it’s permanently painful and even hurts to walk! Maybe the virus inflames your nerves?
