Waiting for my PCR results. Feeling so rough. Everything aches. I've taken paracetamol and slept most of the day. Feel like I've got the beginning of a cold and feel feverish but can't take my temp as the thermometer broke a while ago.
Urgh urgh urgh. Not really sure why I'm posting really!

@Torvi your information is so helpful as I rang 119 and they told me Covid passport would be back following self isolation which clearly isn't correct.

There is literally nothing published on this so thank goodness for MN.

Sorry to press on this. If you can remember, did it reappear on day 10 (taking test day as day 0)?

Torvi · 17/08/2021 09:18

@Kaftankween no problem, I'm happy to help. I tested on a Friday 9.30am and it appeared yesterday (Monday) around the same time. So I'd say 10 days from the actual test.

poorbuthappy · 17/08/2021 09:23

We had to drive back from Cornwall yesterday on day 3 of our holiday due to 2 positives out of 5. I was negative but have got up this morning feeling like hell. No clear symptoms though. I'm trying to decide if I should get another PCR booked or not.

mrssunshinexxx · 17/08/2021 09:28

@Kaftankween I feel similar relieved that I've had it but what are the chances of catching it twice x

RainBow725 · 17/08/2021 09:42

I have been following this thread for a few days and hope everyone is doing ok. I am on Day 5 today. It's just been a bad head cold for the last few days which is now subsiding but it now feels like a whole new illness - weak, stomach pains and breathlessness. Feeling very sorry for myself!

Kaftankween · 17/08/2021 09:49

@mrssunshinexxx I was just talking to DH about this and assuming/hoping an autumn booster is more tweaked to the delta variant.

I'm also wondering should the vaccine be offered to year 11s? Over 16 will exclude those younger in the year.

Piggywaspushed · 17/08/2021 09:49

That's the trouble with getting PCRs because of other people. You may miss it because of testing too early...

Torvi · 17/08/2021 09:49

Day 13 for me. Feeling a lot better than I was, still have a bit of a rough chest although think my taste is back to normal.
I'm also trying to look on the bright side that I've had it now so hopefully that's me done with covid, at least for a good few months.
Best wishes and speedy recovery to those of you still in the thick of it.

Piggywaspushed · 17/08/2021 09:51

I had never looked at my covid passport before. Checked for it yesterday morning and there was notihng there. Yesterday afternoon it was suddenly there.

CatAlice · 17/08/2021 11:15

Hi all. That was a grim couple of days. Home now. This is day 10 for me and I'm better than days 8 and 9 but still wiped out, headache, nausea. A trip to the bathroom is like a marathon. Also a bit weepy, a strange sensation for me as I'm not usually like that.

GatsbyGG · 17/08/2021 11:37

Can I join? Tested positive on 7th August. Primary symptoms I still have are the headaches and nausea. Smell and taste are slowly returning. The nausea is I think the hardest thing to deal with. Sleep has been terrible as well.

mrssunshinexxx · 17/08/2021 11:40

So glad to hear from you @CatAlice and that you are home have you got someone looking after you x

mrssunshinexxx · 17/08/2021 11:43

I tested positive on 8th @GatsbyGG absolutely no sign of smell and taste returning desperate for it to come back

Piggywaspushed · 17/08/2021 12:08

It's funny how little of this sounds like what people imagine covid is. If I collate our symptoms in kind of mentioning order we have :

fatigue
headaches/sinus pain
nausea etc
loss of smell/taste
sweats
temperatures
anxiety/weeping
sore throat

Hardly anyone has mentioned a cough! Mine in terms of 'covid cough' lasted a day?

Piggywaspushed · 17/08/2021 12:09

Forgot breathing issues : that would be a few of us, but mainly people who already have underlying issues with lungs?

Guylncognito · 17/08/2021 12:18

Haven't read the whole thread but joining the ranks of double jabbed and with covid.

I started having symptoms on the eve of me travelling to my parents, I've been with them since I tested +, they seem fine and all their lat flows are negative, but I'm so so so worried about them getting it.

They're double jabbed so I'm just hoping it actually works in their case!

Guylncognito · 17/08/2021 12:21

100% this. I had a tickly cough at the beginning but that was it. I had a horrendous migraine over the weekend, ended up ringing 111 because I thought I was dying (bit dramatic in hindsight, but paracetamol/codeine wasn't touching it). I threw up and then felt a lot better!"
RainBow725 · 17/08/2021 12:47

@Piggywaspushed @Guylncognito

Don't forget the sneezing! So Much Sneezing 🤧

Piggywaspushed · 17/08/2021 12:51

Yup, there's another one that people have reported!

CatAlice · 17/08/2021 12:59

I'll add some more
Dizziness
Brain fog (I've heard this phrase used but now I actually know what it feels like)
Dry mouth
Horrible tongue
I have coughed so much and for so long I think I've pulled a muscle.

Do any of you do the Zoe App? Once you test positive on there there are huge lists of symprtoms including everything mentioned on here and more.
One of the doctors was puzzled that I had done a LFT for a headache and sore throat. I cannot believe they haven't updated the symptom list.

croon979 · 17/08/2021 13:02

Day 5 here too. Weak fatigued and weepy are my symptoms too. I also feel like I have a heavy chest and felt sick earlier. I have barely coughed for the last couple of days, no cold either. My headache has also gone but I do feel dizzy. I have lost my sense of taste and smell though.

My 6 yr old son has entirely different symptoms to me. He has a streaming cold and slight temperature but otherwise seems ok.

croon979 · 17/08/2021 13:03

Yes to dry mouth and horrible tongue too

Piggywaspushed · 17/08/2021 13:06

How did I forget the dizziness!!?! I seem to be having my fist dizziness free day. So far.

Piggywaspushed · 17/08/2021 13:08

Doesn't say much if a doctor seems to think it was odd that you took a test!!

A nurse in A and E told me nausea and vomiting were definitely common now but mine was at the 'extreme end'!

breadwidow · 17/08/2021 13:17

Anyone else have that narrow throat sensation making swallowing painful? I'm day 7 and it started this morning, it's worrying me as bit as worse than the sore throat symptom I got at the beginning. Other than that I feel less ill - headache has eased a bit and I'm less bunged up.
