Anyone any idea if this is going to be anything dramatic or just a 'be careful' pep talk?

OP posts:

Some awful things can happen to a person that their GP does not know about

Yes, like with my Aunt who (in aforementioned dictatorship) was held down in prison, face first into a bucket of her own vomit, subjected to waterboarding and other forms of torture and was strapped to a bed with her genitalia electrocuted by "doctors". All of which, as I'm sure you can imagine, left her with a morbid fear of doctors, nurses and basically any form of authority figure.

She still managed to have the vaccine.

onceivepostedidontcomeback · 19/07/2021 19:27

@Carrotcakeforbreakfast

Sorry but I am fully behind the compulsory vaccines. If it helps get out of this cycle then brilliant. The most unwell patients in my hospital (itu level) have had no vaccinations. Yes there are those who have had them and still got it (which was always going to be the case) but they're much less unwell than last time.

So yeah have your vaccine.
Like you would have compulsory vaccines to travel to certain areas.
If you don't and lose money on concerts, get bored of drinking and dancing in your kitchen then tough tits I say.

You're a wee NHS treasure aren't you!

Johnson has been repeatedly criticised for being a week or two late with restrictions but introducing Vaccine Passports TWO MONTHS after Nightclubs reopen is shutting the stable door after the horse has not only bolted but also run the Grand National, broken its leg and been put down.

The comments on this thread are making my day Grin

@marieantoinehairnet

Can anyone tell me why it's ok for people to go clubbing and spread this disease but it's not ok for hundreds of thousands of children who aren't infected to go to school this week - what did our children do to deserve this kind of contempt for their existence. Ok to not be vacc'd, ok to get long covid, ok to miss out on education - all so the ungrateful masses can go clubbing, save Pret and to attend super spreader events
I suspect that was because the government didn't realise schools hadn't finished on the 16th tbh. Many broke up in Friday and private schools broke up at least a week before that.

They did similar before iirr. Don't seem to realise that term dates are different between counties.

GirlAloud · 19/07/2021 19:29

Oh dear!

All the people who thought they could get away with not be vaccinated themselves for spurious reasons (‘needle-phobia’ Hmm) while enjoying the benefits of everyone else being jabbed are now squealing as they realise that their selfishness might have real-world consequences!

What a shame Grin.

MercyBooth · 19/07/2021 19:29

I dont drink (im 48 and have NEVER been drunk)

I dont smoke or do drugs.

I dont sunbathe I HATE summer.

I dont go to nightclubs or pubs or restaurants. I have never been to a gig or a festival. My life and the amount of people i mix with is tiny. Im not saying no to the vaccine Except the AZ.

onceivepostedidontcomeback · 19/07/2021 19:29

I'm double vaccinated but won't be getting a booster. I feel conned. I only took my vaccine to try and get back to some sort of normality. I didn't want it but I did it. I support everyone right not to take it and I don't need to know their reasons.

I'm glad I can see the bigger picture here and for those who can't, good luck, you're going to need it.

Pretty sick to use the experience of your aunt as a stick to beat someone else with.
onceivepostedidontcomeback · 19/07/2021 19:30

@PopcornMuncher

Fuck this shit. I've never been to a protest in my life and I don't do nightclubs. I'm fully vaxxed but I will protest against this 2 tier society. I'm going to join one of the world wide rally for freedom events going on this coming Saturday.

As others said, it won't stop at nightclubs

Tag me if you see any in Scotland. This is just to scary for words!

"Spurious reason".... not phobic about anything, are you?
Parky04 · 19/07/2021 19:31

Agreed. It's mandatory vaccination by default.

NothinHappensAfterTwo · 19/07/2021 19:31

You're a wee NHS treasure aren't you!

🤣🤣🤣 Isn’t she just. Glad I didn’t clap on my doorstep for the likes of that.

Pretty sick to use the experience of your aunt as a stick to beat someone else with.

Hardly, when you were implying I had no compassion as I obviously couldn't possibly fathom anyone having a needle phobia.

NothinHappensAfterTwo · 19/07/2021 19:32

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 19/07/2021 19:32

@onceivepostedidontcomeback why thank you Wink

MaxNormal · 19/07/2021 19:33

@GirlAloud why do you think it's okay to be that unkind?

And there are many people on here who cannot be vaccinated for various medical reasons. I'm not needle-phobic at all, I used to regularly give blood.

Wingingthis · 19/07/2021 19:33

To be clear before I say this - I wear a mask and always have. BUT I would never ever judge someone for not wearing one. There are many legitimate reasons, more than I could list. For example one friend of mine had a very traumatic incident years ago involving a hand being out over her mouth. A mask over her mouth for her is just too triggering. Would you call her soft?!?! Please think before being so judgmental

Blinky21 · 19/07/2021 19:33

@xenobitch like previous posters have said, you could be medicated to receive the vax while phobic, but anti vaxxers will always find an excuse why they are the exception I guess

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 19/07/2021 19:33

@NothinHappensAfterTwo and I'm equally glad you didn't stand on the doorstep and clap for the likes of me too.

Blinky21 · 19/07/2021 19:34

@Wingingthis could she wear a visor?

I would agree if you had not had ended your rant with "She still managed to have the vaccine"

Totally using her experience to invalidate mine.

peepopeepopeepo · 19/07/2021 19:34

Plenty of people have fully legitimate reasons for not wearing masks, and those people should be pretty annoyed with those who don't have legitimate reasons at all and are just looking for an excuse not to wear one. E.g. my former driving instructor, who freely admitted that the masks didn't affect her asthma at all, but was glad of the excuse not to wear one as asthma was on the exemption list.

XenoBitch · 19/07/2021 19:35
@xenobitch like previous posters have said, you could be medicated to receive the vax while phobic, but anti vaxxers will always find an excuse why they are the exception I guess
I am not allowed benzos... so what now?

peepopeepopeepo · 19/07/2021 19:35

No one is forcing you to have the vaccine. Don't have it.
