Double vaccinated but had chills in the night. Slight headache this morning. DD has covid currently. This is positive isn't it?

Yes, I think it is - sorry. Hope you're ok and make a speedy recovery. Flowers

Branleuse · 17/07/2021 08:44

Id say test again, i can see a faint line

OpalOwl · 17/07/2021 08:44

I think it is, book a pcr and get well soon

Whinge · 17/07/2021 08:45

I can see a vey faint line. Since your daughter has covid, I presume confirmed by a PCR test, I would say yes it's likely to be a positive test, and you're best to get a PCR to confirm.

I'm sorry for your rubbish start to the morning, I hope you feel better soon.

enjoyingscience · 17/07/2021 08:45

Looks like it OP. Hope you all recover quickly!

BoomChicka · 17/07/2021 08:46

Yep I can see that without my glasses, sorry.

Carrott21 · 17/07/2021 08:46

Definitely a positive

SpringheelJack · 17/07/2021 08:46

If you have symptoms, book a PCR. Hope you're all okay.

Paddingtonthebear · 17/07/2021 08:54

Crikey I would read that as negative.

These are positive tests I’ve seen posted online that look much more definitive

But yeah pcr will always be more accurate

OhWhyDidTheyDoIt · 17/07/2021 09:07

I'd say negative. I saw hundreds of these useless fuckers during ridiculous school testing regime earlier this year.

A positive was clearly positive. It was a clear Y/N. It is not like a pregnancy test.

cheninblanc · 17/07/2021 09:09

My daughter had one like that this week and pcr was negative. Hope your ok

OhWhyDidTheyDoIt · 17/07/2021 09:10

If you want to justify taking a PCR test just fucking book one.

If you are desperate for the line to appear, apparently lemon juice causes a positive result...listened to too much teen-talk at work. Iron bru=negative though, so don't use that.

I was told the opposite - that they are like a pregnancy test and get stronger! That’s what happened with my son as well - faint test, then strong line and then confirmed with PCR.
StarryStarrySocks · 17/07/2021 09:10

I can't see a line. That looks negative to me. Confused

NoNobramma · 17/07/2021 09:12

I’d also say positive.

OhWhyDidTheyDoIt · 17/07/2021 09:14

Nope. Well they might have got stronger. But generally positive was there and clearly there within 10minutes. May have got stronger from 10mins to the 30mins...but never any "is it/isn't it" stuff. The line was there.

LIZS · 17/07/2021 09:16

I'd say negative too. The control line is strong and would expect positive test line to be similar.

Did somebody steal your sweets ohwhy? Any need for such viciousness?

The reason I need to know is because I am on a study whereby if I send in a negative result each day I don't need to fully isolate and can go to work. This result is neither fully negative nor obviously positive. I am erring on side of caution and staying isolated today.

It's positive. You need to book a PCR test. Sorry.

PandasCatsWolves · 17/07/2021 09:26

You need to book a pcr no question

I don't see how you ignoring anything that wasn't a strong line is proof of anything?

Can you ask the people running the study because you can't really tell?

Terminallysleepdeprived · 17/07/2021 09:40

LFT tests can show positive for other viruses so I wouldn't assume it is covid given the very faint line. Get a pcr test before panicking

Bythehairywartsonmywitchychin · 17/07/2021 09:42

Do another one, can’t really see a line.
