Anyone else still never had a test?

I don't know if this is rare or even if I'm doing something wrong by not having tested. However, since the beginning of the pandemic the only time I've had symptoms was at the very beginning when you couldn't get a test (even then I only had very mild symptoms that didn't exactly fit the description). I've not been told to test by track and trace. I've not been required by work to test and I've not travelled overseas. So I guess the only reason I would have tested is for non-symptomatic testing. I'm not sure whether we're all supposed to be doing that regularly?

Just wondered if I've missed something or whether it's unusual not to have tested ever?

I have taken one test. My DH has also taken one test. Our DC have never been tested.
Only on MN do I hear of people testing themselves regularly.

LET'S are a pain. We are forever having to close branches because LFT tests mean they are too short staffed for security *bank). 2 days later they are back open because thd PCR was negative. At least the staff are paid but it's horrible for customers and creates masses of work to manage.

@BirdSong2021

I'm not repeatedly testing my kids no matter what is "suggested". It's traumatic for them and by extension for me. They have been tested on the odd occasion but I think it's wrong to do it on healthy children. If that makes me selfish and a granny killer then I'll take the title.
I agree about it being traumatic for children. Especially given that they get bugs all the time AND are low risk in terms of vectors and serious side effects.

@XenoBitch It was pretty well publicised in one of the government announcements a month or so ago once we started coming out of lockdown.

I've never tested either, nor has my OH. We've had no need to.

Didn't the government have loads to get rid of because they had a load from one of their contracts that would have been wasted and then it wouldn't look so good so they decided that people could do two a week.
