Would you go to an August wedding?

Been invited to a wedding early August that was rearranged from last year.

It’s a large wedding being held indoors in a hotel.

I’m excited to go but a bit nervous. Dh and I are both double jabbed and I imagine most of the guests are too.

Just the thought of a large group of people indoors is a bit worrying.

Or maybe we need to get on with life 🤷‍♀️

Hi, I wasn’t sure about weddings so I’ve just checked. It’s up to 100 here too which surprises me! Bars currently only staying open until 10.30pm. We will be keeping masks .

None of it really impacts on me much except schools, I’m a teacher. We have had masks in schools for seniors from autumn 2020 and for all above age 12 from after Easter (we didn’t open up until later than England).

I would love to go to a wedding. I can see that you’ve said you’ll go and I think this is a good decision.

However, please only go if you think you’ll be able to relax and have a nice time. If you think you’ll be tense with worry, freezing whenever someone else comes near, then perhaps reconsider. Someone upthread said that they would leave if they didn’t like the behaviour of the other guests. Having someone who was obviously very uncomfortable at my wedding would have upset me quite a lot.

I am going to an indoor wedding in August. Hadn't even thought to worry about it! We'll all be vaccinated, that's as good as it's going to get I reckon.

No I wouldn’t but I recognise that lockdown and the whole pandemic has made my anxiety a lot worse. I really don’t know when I’ll be comfortable with big events.
