How are the 'Great Reset' conspiracists dealing with regulations coming to an end?

Last year I ended up removing a couple of people from my FB friends because they went full on 'Great Reset' conspiracy mad.

They did believe that COVID existed but thought that it was 'just like the flu' and being used as an excuse to put society under controls which would last forever and was the first step in some kind of global conspiracy.

I always wondered how they would square things to themselves once a vaccine was introduced and the controls were lifted.

Would they admit they'd been wrong (I feel like the answer is definitely not)...

Anyone stayed friends with a conspiracy theorist long enough to know how they're addressing the fact that the controls are coming to an end?

Just found this thread, but this made me laugh

Yeah...I mean viruses be doing virus stuff.

Most conspiracy theorists have had parts proved right, because their theory was based on how viruses act.

There was always going to waves. There's was always going to be variants.

My exh was one of the dickheads trying to hunt down 5g masts. And then he was pretending he was some hero going to anti vaccine and anti lockdown protests.

Dd then refused to see as college had gone back and she was scared of not being able to go, incase she got it off him. He seems to have chilled out since then.

Though dd just thinks he is keeping it to himself, so still doesn't want to see him

@Terhou

The 'conspiracy theorists' called each lockdown well before it was announced, i.e. they knew 'freedom by Easter' was a lie.

So did virtually anyone with working brain cells, to be honest. It was obvious that that was just Johnson trying to keep the Daily Mail faction and his MPs happy.

I agree. The vast majority of people knew this. It doesn't prove conspiracy theorists right.

I am pretty sure loads of people said this would take 2 years. And said this at the beginning. I can't remember which scientists/ medical were saying it.

But I know a couple of virologists and they said 2 years as well.

tonight in the Commons - 319 to 246 MPs vote in favour of compulsory jabs for care workers - along with any visitors whether that be family, friends or someone undertaking any professional duties (even if they have no contact with others).

Very slippery slope.

UndercoverToad · 13/07/2021 20:45

@AlecTrevelyan006 nah - I’d vote for them to be pinned down and injected in their butt. We need more force, none of this namby pamby crap.

Care homes already struggle with staffing levels and no wonder. It's a hard, poorly paid job. If your government no longer deems you worthy of agency over your own medical decisions that's a complete kick in the teeth.
And it's the vulnerable elderly who will suffer from further shortages. Let's face it, there's no queue to do this job and as we're out of the EU it's not like there's staff from other countries able to replace them.

Let's face it care home staff are predominently female, working class and have a higher than average percentage ethnic minorities. Not a group with much power in society. Very easy to abuse as a litmus test.

UndercoverToad · 13/07/2021 21:03

@MaxNormal FFS my tongue was firmly in my cheek!!

AlecTrevelyan006 · 13/07/2021 21:08

yeah right

MaxNormal · 13/07/2021 21:12

@UndercoverToad I'm sorry. My irony radar is broken with all of this Sad

Working in the public sector, I find it hilarious that CT think the government is organised enough to pull off a National/international conspiracy, when in reality, they can’t organise the simplest of tasks without mountains of red tape, layers of management approval, constant delays and not one department understanding, exploring or considering what another one might already be doing.

@ElephantMoth

Everything that they said has come true, if you think the control is coming to an end then more fool you. The World Economic Forum have set out what is to happen, it's not like they are hiding it.
Everything you just said is wrong.

here it comes

www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-57864699

Zahawi has announced that people will be required to be fully vaccinated to attend "large crowded settings" such as nightclubs from the end of September - after all over-18s have had the chance to receive both vaccine doses and develop immunity.

"So at that point we plan to make full vaccination a condition of entry to nightclubs and other venues where large crowds gather, proof of a negative test will no longer be sufficient," he said.

nomorecrumbs · 19/07/2021 18:11

“Proof of a negative test will no longer be sufficient.”

That line gives me the chills. I’ve had one vaccine dose and am due my second in a few weeks. This new announcement is putting me off from getting it...

lightand · 19/07/2021 21:47

I dont suppose the op's name will be heard from again.
Sadly, it has only taken 13 days.

Some wont see anything at all, right up to whatever could await us. Even then, they may wish to put themselves into denial.

Some will see, after many things may have happened.

Please God help.
