@OliveTree75

Tealight is not okay.

Tealightsandd · 29/06/2021 16:45

And here we are. Deja vu deja vu. In the UK.
On the cusp of yet more devastation. Many avoidable deaths, even more preventable disabilities, further damage to businesses.

It's not even as if those cheering for this want to 'live with it' Other People die or become disabled from it. They don't want to get back to normal.

They'd want masks on public transport and other high risk locations, if they wanted sustainable reopening

With unsuppressed and uncontained freely spreading Delta strain, they want to lift all restrictions - but without the little mitigation measures, that would help the reopening, i.e. masks.

It's like they want it to spread, they want the deaths, disabilities, and economic destruction. (And perhaps some of the do). I mean, masks on transport etc would actually help reopen places. Yet they want them gone. And so deja vu deja vu.

Clearly... 😳

IcedPurple · 29/06/2021 16:48

Someone on this board sounds like the drunk at the back of the bus, talking to themselves in great detail, ignoring the puzzled glances all around.

Tealightsandd · 29/06/2021 16:49

And by now, having made the same mistakes not once, not twice, but for the third or fourth time. So they can't possibly deny knowledge of what's coming next. Deja vu deja vu. But they think the many avoidable deaths, damaged businesses, and preventable disabilities are worthy of 😊😊. Because it's just so jolly isn't it. Mass bereavement, being unable to work due to debilitating illness, and yet more pressure on already burnt out traumatised NHS staff. Oh so cheering.

Baileysforchristmas · 29/06/2021 16:52

There are going to be many people that won’t cope when restrictions are removed, I’m so glad I have carried as normal as possible throughout this.

Tealightsandd · 29/06/2021 16:52

Personally I think continuing to drag all this shit out, prolonging the crisis, repeatedly failing to suppress and contain - so that we could genuinely return to normal, is the very opposite of 😊😊

But I suppose for those who secretly enjoy the deaths, disability, and restrictions, who want yet more stop start stop start, well yes they must be (secretly) 😊 about dragging it out.

Tealightsandd · 29/06/2021 16:59

Cor, your normal is very far from most people's!

A bit like a lockdown, in fact. Crossed with a horror movie.

Takes all sorts I guess.

Meanwhile most people actually want proper normal. It's a shame that this time round it's more deja vu, pander to the ones who secretly 😊 it, deja vu. Instead of for once taking the necessary action to get us back the real normal.

I bet some think it's something special to be one of the few high risk countries in the world. Entry restricted from here. I bet, given British exceptionalism, some think we've won some sort of competition.
Only the Shit Places comp, I'm afraid.

Nope. I'm fine. I've just made a lovely cup of tea Brew.

Others however...

They're ok, I suppose. Away with the fairies, cheering on horror with big beaming 😊 faces, but I guess that's their own personal ok.

Definitely the UK is not ok. But that's nothing new now.

Scrap that. You're right. I'm not ok... I've run out of biscuits to dunk in my tea (I have some olives in the fridge though). I'd better pop to the shops (after my tea).

Baileysforchristmas · 29/06/2021 17:06

You’ll never contain it unless you shut the borders which is never going to happen. Have you seen the 1000’s of maskless football fans in London? Trying to contain it is long gone.

Are you suggesting multiple medics across the national are completing missing the diagnosis of Covid or are you suggesting they are incorrectly completing death certificates?

At least 30% of PCR tests give false negatives (and very few false positives btw).

Patients have repeatedly tested negative (in hospital) in some cases. I posted an article about that the other day. I'll try to find it again after I'm back from the shops.

It's also possible that the PCR tests are even less accurate for the Delta strain.

Then there's the fact that well after 28 days a patient may no longer test positive. Particularly if they're apparently recovered and discharged from hospital. Doesn't change the original cause but it might lead to that original cause being overlooked/missed.

@Chillychangchoo

Glances at *@IcedPurple* on the bus with a mutual wtf expression 🤣 👀

I mean who’s put 50p in the dick head? Come on, own up?

I don't know. But I wish we had 50p for everytime the words "death" and "disability" have been used!
IcedPurple · 29/06/2021 17:17

Do we get a double payout for 'deja vu'? It being two words and all that? And they're even fancy French words for extra impact!

Right now yes the government is spreading it far and wide.

But eventually, as with every time before, deja vu deja vu. They'll have no other choice. Like every other time.

It's just a shame they didn't choose to get it over with for once. Instead of again (and again and again) dragging it out.

Still the time will come again. When it's impossible to do otherwise. And as usual (in the UK) it will be more painful for all. Due to the failure to nip it in the bud at an earlier stage.

UK world beating deja vu.

Europe, Hong Kong, America. Restricting entry to high risk UK. That's Bailey's idea of normal.

Reports out yesterday. AZ less effective than Pfizer against Delta. Hence why (in the UK) so many double vaccinated are still dying. People who had AZ will need a mRNA booster, if we want to get back to normal. Or else it's more deja vu again and again here in the UK.

@Baileysforchristmas

It’s all a bit deja vu for me 🤦‍♀️

Tealightsandd · 29/06/2021 17:22

We'd make even more money if we had 50p for 'live with it' or 'scaremongering' or 'doom and gloom'. Or skip that, and just give me a pound for every time I've been right about what has and will happen. I'll be able to stock up nicely on tea and biscuits.

Baileysforchristmas · 29/06/2021 17:22

USA haven’t contained it, they have more deaths than us, no country has, not even Australia, your talking absolute nonsense, you’re rambling rubbish.

Oh well. I'm in good company. As 'batty' as the majority of scientific and medical experts, including successful world leaders like (scientist) Angela Merkel

Bats are nice anyway 🦇 very sweet.

Tealightsandd · 29/06/2021 17:25

US more deaths. Erm yes. Because they have a significantly larger population. Our death rate is higher than theirs.

thecatsatonthewall · 29/06/2021 17:26

@Baileysforchristmas

I think tealightssand is completely batty and has lost the plot, I’m surprised he/she dares to go out the door with all the death and disability waiting round the corner.
This is now borderline bullying, perhaps you need to step and post a warning.
IcedPurple · 29/06/2021 17:26

This is basically trolling at this point.

FFS shut the computer and watch the football.

While trying not to be traumatised by the sight of thousands of people having a great evening.
