Just tested positive

My son tested positive on Sunday & today I started to feel congested & throat feels scratchy so did lateral flow & it's come back positive! I'm awaiting for a appointment to become available for a PCR. I'm really scared!! I'm overweight....I suffer with health anxiety so as you can imagine I'm absolutely petrified!!

So you're still not going to get the vaccine?? Honestly the stupidity of some people. It's people like you refusing the vaccine then catching covid and spreading it that are keeping cases going. And I dont care if that sounds harsh

Sound harsh all you like ! Believe it or not it's my choice! I've not left my house as I was already isolating before I tested positive so I'm not 'spreading' it!

Well, maybe you do actually….

You can be an intelligent person and still make stupid decisions. You can get sick and still hate chicken soup. You can tell people to get back in their box, and find that they just ignore you.

That’s not how forums work though - if all you wanted was an echo chamber of your own thoughts for validation then go to a group of trusted friends, not a group of strangers on the internet. Unsurprisingly, some of us will have different views to you and we have every right to air them here. This is, after all, a public discussion board.

Agree!! We all have different views!! I accept that some people won't like my views & some people won't like the fact I do not want the vaccine! But to speak to people like shit & try & talk down to them just because they have different views says a lot about them really!!

I disagree. Many other posters pointed out how ill-thought out your points were behind being aghast that someone would suggest an ill person might want to take in plenty of fluids, including chicken soup by proclaiming
