Not seen one of these for a while

We ate 100 per 100k, a huge increase on last week. We are in a central London borough.

Flaxmeadow · 19/06/2021 17:48

Do you mean at a LA level or MSOA

Yes I was wondering that too, because there can be some big differences

For example Leeds LA is 179
per 100,000

Hyde Park area (in Leeds) is 1,122
per 100,000

Dementedswan · 19/06/2021 18:01

Ughmaybenot · 19/06/2021 18:01
  1. We’ve been very lucky throughout in our area.

@myrtleWilson

Do you mean at a LA level or MSOA - because my MSOA is quite scary at the moment! (university city)
Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference?

(I just popped my postcode into the BBC link I posted)

Ours is 197 in our local council area, county overall is lower.

Scarby9 · 19/06/2021 18:04

21 on the Yorkshire coast - up 9 from last week.
We fully recognise how lucky we are.
The place is packed with tourists. I wonder how much difference that might make.

Dementedswan · 19/06/2021 18:07

Bugger... just checked today's figures... local council parish is at 207 and county 130.

Mine is coming up as 125 but I am sure it is much higher. I am in Chester and know several bars / restaurants closed due to staff isolating or infected.

Rollercoasteride · 19/06/2021 18:18

27.9 shopshire, no cases in my local area though

cantkeepawayforever · 19/06/2021 18:19

Local area is 170 - having been an extremely low incidence almost throughout the pandemic, and with much of the population very complacent as a result.

Town as a whole also pretty much exactly 170. Was only higher for a few weeks in January.

County - predominantly rural - is lower but still well above regional average and above historical norms for the area.

OrangeSamphire · 19/06/2021 18:19

100 in 100k in Cornwall after being single / double figures for months.

This amounts to 569 cases. 500 on which have occurred in the last week.

Since G7 summit and half term influx. Brilliant.
