We ate 100 per 100k, a huge increase on last week. We are in a central London borough.

122 😬 we’ve got surge testing and surge vaccination going on in the area now

Imaystillbedrunk · 19/06/2021 19:04

24 per 100,000. 79% Adults have had first dose, and 58% have had both

bluemumsbluedog · 19/06/2021 19:05

11 down from 14 last week in mid Wales

itsgettingwierd · 19/06/2021 19:08

But about twice as many this week as a few schools have had outbreaks.

itsgettingwierd · 19/06/2021 19:09

MSOA is suppressed still.

That 14/100k is in a borough with population of 120k

myrtleWilson · 19/06/2021 19:10

LA - in last 7 days the per 100k rate is 128.8 - LA is large and has big rural areas

MSOA - 541.5 - am in most densely populated city in LA and home to the University students

Neighbouring MSOA - city centre with student population - 1202 per 100k 😲

itsgettingwierd · 19/06/2021 19:15

We also have 82% first dose and 66% second.

Redcrayons · 19/06/2021 19:17

102 it was less than 20 a couple of weeks ago.

We’ve had surge testing since Christmas and across NW this weekend there’s loads of drop in vaccination centres for anyone over age of 18.

@RaspberryCoulis

Honestly?

I don't know, and I don't care. There are about 130 people in hte whole of Scotland in hospital with Covid (not because of Covid), which compares with 2000 at the end of January and 1500 in April 2020.

So who cares about cases? Irrelevant.

Head in the fucking sand.
cantkeepawayforever · 19/06/2021 20:00

@Jenasaurus

Crawley - 47 out of 100000, a small rise of 16 cases on last week.

70% of residents have had their first vaccine and 50% have had their second. I only know of a couple of people with COVID now and thats via a third party. Whereas before I knew loads of people (but I work for an ambulance trust so not unspuprising)

Thing is, we have a rate of 170 (up over 100% from last week) despite 80% first vaccines and 55% second....
bunburyscucumbersandwich · 19/06/2021 20:05

In my area 80% have had first dose and 60%both doses. It's school children that seem to be the issue. School hols can't come quick enough!

DolphinBlue1 · 19/06/2021 20:38

245, Ayrshire

I knew it was high but not comparatively THAT high till I read this thread

BarbarianMum · 19/06/2021 20:56

47 per 100,000. In Sheffield. For Sheffield that's quite low, certainly compared to last year!

Whydidimarryhim · 19/06/2021 20:58

I’m in south east London and I was surprised to see the total number who have had both injections is only 31%.

73 for the county but the area of the town where I live is 258, extra measures in place with door to door testing (which no one is taking up), and vaccination take up is really low too.
this is Leicestershire

  1. Youngest DD currently isolating due to a case in her class.
seepingweeping · 19/06/2021 21:03

155 so a big jump from 34 last week or 2 weeks ago - whenever I last checked.

traumatisednoodle · 19/06/2021 21:04

24.5 in LTLA, 51.5 in MSOA- out break in a secondary school.

JaninaDuszejko · 19/06/2021 21:04

68, up from 12 last week. All under 60s. Trouble is we are testing so many more now, so it's difficult to compare to the last wave. 56% of adults double vaccinated, 75% single vaccinated so higher than average. Is the increase because of Delta or a result or the 17 May openings?

I'll be much happier once we are through next winter and we know the impact of vaccination on hospitalisation rates. Data so far suggests a single vaccination results in a drop in hospitalisation of 80 %, double vaccination should improve that further. But there will still be cases and hospitalisations and deaths so I really hope the government are investing in increasing NHS capacity to cope with a Covid surge in the winter. There's not many approved treatments yet but with every wave we'll get more clinical data to improve our treatments which we also improve the death rate. Once we are all vaccinated we need to start living with the Covid deaths just like we live with flu deaths
