We ate 100 per 100k, a huge increase on last week. We are in a central London borough.

68 out of 100, has risen but not massively

Do you mean at a LA level or MSOA - because my MSOA is quite scary at the moment! (university city)

Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference?

The LA is the larger area.

The MSOA are neighbourhoods within the LAs. If you zoom further in on the Govt interactive map you can click on them too. I think they are roughly about 10,000 population each. Go to View Map and then zoom in. You don't have to use a postcode, you can click on any LA and zoomed in on MSOA

Flaxmeadow · 20/06/2021 00:42

For example
This is Leeds LA, and then you can zoom further in and the MSOA areas will appear
As you can see, some MSOA areas, or neighbourhoods if you like, can be quite different to others nearby

All the info in nice graphs is 6 days out of date.
The council contacted us yesterday to persuade us to cancel an event as numbers have doubled in the last 6 days.

No. The local numbers on the interactive map are changed everyday, 4pm same time as main national numbers, some of the info is on a 7 day rolling average.

Flaxmeadow · 20/06/2021 00:56

The % change in brackets is important too.

Because a place can have a high number but if it has a sustained low % change, then it might be leveling off a bit and start going
down, hopefully

But somewhere can have a low number but if the % is like 500% change or something and it's sustained, then its rising rapidly, even though it might appear at first to be low

Between the cusp of two areas one 29.6 (going down) and one 16.2. (going up). Not complacent. Been here before. Was low, low, low. Til we weren’t.

LucilleTheVampireBat · 20/06/2021 01:46

No idea. Don't care.

Flaxmeadow · 20/06/2021 02:05

Explains a lot

Gingerkittykat · 20/06/2021 02:21

73.1 in a region in Scotland. It has gone up from roughly 50 a fortnight ago.

My village has gone from suppressed to 125 but that means there is a cluster of 5 cases from a population of 4000.

Parthena · 20/06/2021 06:42

What is MSOA?

FleetwoodRaincoat · 20/06/2021 07:18

22 East of England

starfish4 · 20/06/2021 07:32

We're 87, our numbers are usually very low around here, in fact, we were the second lowest in the country a little while ago.

MaudesMum · 20/06/2021 07:51

Town - too low to be counted. District - 15.6. County - 21.5. In the South-West.

@HappyPumpkin81

We're 10 per 100k and I have just been told to isolate as a close contact. For fuck's sake!
Do you know who the alleged close contact is?
happytoday73 · 20/06/2021 12:15

Work area just over 300, home just under, my child's secondary area is just over 250. I currently know of more families where all isolating than I have ever done.... Which is saying something in Greater Manchester

19 in my US state. Will be interesting to see what effect the Delta variant has. We are fully open.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 20/06/2021 14:32

47 with 61% of all adults having had 2nd jab.

We are rural but have some quite high density living areas. 9 Delta variant cases reported, locally believed to be people working in Bristol, which has 400+ cases, having tripled over the last week. 90% of the cases here are Delta variant, so you can see how rural and how few cases we actually have, though it did double over last week's figures.
