Just seen this.
The UK regulator has said the benefits outweigh the risks in giving it to 12-15yo.

Would you let your child have it? I'm very conflicted on this.

I have a friend whose 14 year old daughter hasn't been able to do full days in school since March. I can't wait for the vaccine to be available to my teens.

The thalidomide disaster led to huge changes in drug development and policy

Were the changes such that no mistakes could ever be made again @ollyollyoxenfree?

It always amazes me how trusting people can be. I wish (in a way) I could be less jaded and cynical. But the latter have protected me in many instances.

I'll be relying on vaccines rather than cynicism to protect me and my family, thank you.

I find the comment about being trusting a little crazy when you were repeating the claims over multiple threads that mRNA vaccines have no "expiration date" and "high jacks your DNA, in order to trick your cells.....seems to me like an extremely good way to acquire an auto immune disease" etc etc.

No of course this doesn't prove that no mistakes can never be made again. But using thalidomide as a reason to not offer vaccination to teens is ridiculous.
