How did you feel after 2nd AZ jab?

I had a moderate reaction to the first one. Exhaustion, sore arm, dizzy, generally unwell. Stayed in bed the next day

If you've have your 2nd was your reaction the same as to your first jab or different?

Wondering whether to plan anything for the day after.

Just had my 2nd shot at lunchtime today, came home and slept for an hour, my arm is aching at the injection site already and already can barely lift my arm.
1st jab my arm didn’t get sore until 24hours after

Eaumyword · 03/06/2021 18:18

1st AZ-nausea, dizziness and the squits next day then absolutely fine.
2and AZ-headache for 6 days. Manageable with painkillers then day 7, absolutely fine.
So glad to have had it though.

ShowOfHands · 03/06/2021 18:22

Felt fine. Same as after my first. Not even a sore arm.

Chickoletta · 03/06/2021 18:27

Was tired and had heavy limbs for 48 hrs after the first one.

Had second yesterday afternoon and had a strange night’s sleep - weird vivid dreams and kept waking up - and have a sore arm today but otherwise fine so far.

Aberteifi · 03/06/2021 19:03

1st one i had a headache and felt like i had flu for about 24 hours.
2nd one i had yesterday and i felt really tired last night and went to bed early.
Today apart from a bit of a sore arm i feel fine.

Orpheline · 03/06/2021 19:07

1st- 13 hours sleep
2nd- Huge bruise on the vaccine site

angieloumc · 03/06/2021 19:23

After the first one I started to feel flu like about twelve hours later, it lasted for a couple of days.
With the second one I just felt a bit tired and had a sore arm, the jab itself hurt more than the first though.

Kakiweewee · 03/06/2021 19:25

First in March, tired for a couple of days.

Second yesterday, tired again today.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 03/06/2021 19:32

I had my second 1.5 weeks ago and I'm only just feeling better. Last week I really struggled to work. A bit teary and felt unable to cope with any dramas. And I work with dramatic teenagers 😔 Vision not great. Making silly mistakes. Just so glad I've had this week off. I have slept TONS. Slightly headachy. But so bleery. Not thinking straight. Making some bizarre decisions. And struggling to remember things. A real brain fog. 😶 I've just wanted to lie down on sofa. I'm only now starting to feel more human again. With my first I only felt like this for a couple of days but I was still working from home then so I could nap and lie in a bit more.

Mxflamingnoravera · 03/06/2021 20:24

2nd yesterday. No side effects from either first or second jab. I swam a mile at full pelt this morning.

Rainbowgravy · 03/06/2021 21:13

Ist one felt tired and headache for 24 hrs. Second I had a week ago and had no side effects at all.

BettyOBarley · 03/06/2021 21:20

Both my mum and MIL felt worse after the 2nd than the 1st which I was surprised about, as I thought it was meant to be other way round.

Babyfairy0923 · 03/06/2021 21:55

Worse after the second for me. Tired & headaches for a good week.

Boomisshiss · 03/06/2021 22:16

First one couldn’t get out of bed shaking temperature etc. This time nothing at all

If your vision isn’t great maybe go get checked out
Minster2012 · 03/06/2021 22:19

No reaction, & likely had conception that weekend too
I did take paracetamol for the day of & day after & baby aspirin too

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 03/06/2021 22:27

@Boomisshiss Shhhh. Just hoping my blood clot disappears with a little denial and ignorance Blush

BelleBlueBell · 03/06/2021 22:32

I've seen 5 different friends in the past couple of weeks, we are all very similar age, all female and have all had two jabs. Between us we had pretty much every combination of side effects

The only conclusion I can draw is that it's impossible to draw any conclusions beforehand, you can only wait and see, as far as I can see there is absolutely no way to predict how one person will feel and it had nothing to do with how very similar people feel

Willyoujustbequiet · 03/06/2021 22:35

1st.. very poorly in bed for over a week. Unexplained bleeding from gums, nose bleeds etc..flagged up and yellow carded by gp. Advised against 2nd pending a battery of further tests

2nd jab....poorly in bed for 3 days. Ongoing headaches, dizziness, nausea and horrendous tinnitus, onset within 48 hours of the jab. Never had it before.

In my 40s, healthy and on no medication. I'm done. Never again.

BackforGood · 03/06/2021 22:58

Absolutely fine - forgot all about it. No reaction at all - same as the first one.

Same for dh.

NoGoodOptions · 03/06/2021 22:59

I felt great! No noticeable side effects. I had a slight headache after my first dose.

BreakingtheIce · 03/06/2021 23:01

Absolutely nothing. Just a bit tired.

Twoforthree · 03/06/2021 23:02

Felt like I had a mild version of the actual COVID I had, the first time. Just tired after the second.

This is very worrying. My OH had a nosebleed after his second one.
5zeds · 03/06/2021 23:06

First 24 hours of “flu” high temp, shaking, in bed.
Second a bit tired for a couple of days, but had had a long week so maybe more tired from that than the jab.

I’m so grateful to have had it.
