I desperately need to know. Of course we won't until they tell us, but what are your thoughts?

Very mixed opinions in the media. Lots of advice to delay but Boris saying there's nothing he can see that would make us deviate from the roadmap.

The released figures today are bollocks. They are a culmination of the past few days due to bank holiday delays. As of today there are under 800 covid patients in hospital in England and in Bolton the number of admissions has dropped to 39 from 49 last week. As hard as they try to keep the scare tactics going and carry out mass testing at who knows what potentially increased pcr cycle rate, the data just isn’t playing ball. Doesn’t seem to make a difference though, plenty of people still buy their bullshit and on our imprisonment continues Angry

Hospitalisation one to watch and not just numbers but capacity - as stays can be shorter

tobee · 03/06/2021 19:21

Well I didn't think Tuesday's 0 deaths meant that's it, no more Covid deaths. One swallow does not a summer make. It goes both ways.

Yes, this is what's important.
SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:30

I take you it you have seen the evidence on delta variant increasing chances of hospitalization.

SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:32

It appears you actually want to see great swathes of people dying before you believe. Sad state of affairs.

Mrgrinch · 03/06/2021 19:33

Cases over 5,000 is bad :(

Yes certainly seen it. It's a maybe. See my earlier post re Kent variant.

Or are you seeing information that says it's definite?

MarshaBradyo · 03/06/2021 19:33

Link to evidence?

Isn’t this what we are waiting to get hence the uncertainty

What a stupid comment
SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:35

There are links on the other thread to PHE data

SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:36

I think this may be blurred.

As I said previously it takes time to work out:-

www.google.com/amp/s/www.cityam.com/kent-covid-variant-no-more-deadly-than-original-coronavirus-strain/amp/

I'm sure people remember the news earlier in the year saying Kent variant was likely to be more deadly?

SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:40

Why is it a stupid comment? People will still say oh we don't believe that...scientists aren't always right. Let's actually see the hospitalizations increase. Then they will say oh but increased hospitalization doesn't mean increased deaths, let's wait to see. By then it's too bloody late!!! Its exponential.

SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:40

It doesn't take time. They know. What do you know?

tobee · 03/06/2021 19:41

Because you said it appears we want people dead. Not only stupid but beyond offensive.

tobee · 03/06/2021 19:43

Link to where it's definite?

SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:44

I didn't say you wanted people dead. I said some will only believe when large numbers of people are dying.

MarshaBradyo · 03/06/2021 19:44

That says may be increased risk of hospitalisation doesn’t it?

So they are still getting data on this

SonnetForSpring · 03/06/2021 19:44

I just posted the PHE/SAGE summary!
