Will you spend time with partially / un vaccinated people?

I have severe health anxiety and after a conversation with my Dr this morning I have decided against my second Covid Jab.

I had my first AZ but I’m severely anxious about my second one and it’s really interfering with my work / home life.

I don’t want this to get in the way of being able to spend time with friends or family (who will be fully vaccinated)

I have a small child and I want to be able to arrange plat dates and days out by I’m afraid people won’t want to be around me if I’ve only had one vaccine.

You need to get some help with your anxiety it is leaving you not fully protected from Covid and anxious anyway but now about something else

And then once you’re longer nervous about how other people perceive you not having been fully vaccinated you will go back to being anxious about the fact that you’re not fully vaccinated.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 26/05/2021 18:35

I probably would, but I'd not know because I wouldn't ask. I've had mine, what others decide to do is up to them, couldn't give a toss really.

I’m on a wait list for CBT. Can’t afford to go private so NHS is my only option.

I hate being in this position. Really really hate it.

I want the vaccine, I want to be protected but I’m just too frightened.

I have a young child and I can’t bare the thought of something happening to me and not being around 😭

I've been working in a poorly ventilated warehouse with around 600 other people throughout the pandemic - needless to say, most of my colleagues have been unvaccinated for most of that time, so why would I care now who was and wasn't vaccinated?

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 26/05/2021 18:48

I wouldn't ask and I'm sure the only ones who will be announcing they aren't having the vaccine are the tinfoil hat brigade, not those with a genuine reason not to.

Howshouldibehave · 26/05/2021 18:51

Yes. I spend hours and hours every day in poorly ventilated rooms with groups of 30+ maskless unvaccinated people every day. I would be sacked if I didn’t.

Ratatattatpat · 26/05/2021 18:54

I don't care if people have been vaccinated or not. I may do if I was 95 and had a small chance of dying if I got coronavirus but I'm not so I don't care.

MMMarmite · 26/05/2021 18:56

If someone was refusing all vaccines offerered, taking high transmission risks in their daily life, and refusing to take covid seriously, I'd be less keen to see them. Someone in your position I'd happily see.

shewalkslikerihanna · 26/05/2021 18:57

I share air with unvaccinated people every day and have done for years, especially this year.
Nothing is going to change.

@TakeYourVaccine

It's quite simple, take the vaccine or risk death/long covid which my friend has been suffering from for over 12 years!

12 years.... 😂

Who’s the moron....

They are. Yet some of the stuff they are coming out with.. I have seen others say and actually mean. It is terrifying.
User135644 · 26/05/2021 19:22

I've told my half vaccinated friend i'll only have half a pint with them for now.

Grin

If you are fully vaccinated, do they get to have a whole pint?

ConfusedAdultFemale · 26/05/2021 19:39

No one would know unless you tell them… Hmm

loulouljh · 26/05/2021 19:44

of course! Someone's health status is none of my business!

JeanClaudeVanDammit · 26/05/2021 19:46

Wouldn’t occur to me to ask about someone’s vaccination status really.

I have a friend with health anxiety though who I now struggle to want to spend any time with. I realise that makes me sound a terrible person but she’s just exhausting at times and I haven’t been able to handle it over the last year.

5475878237NC · 26/05/2021 19:47

I wouldn't want to be around you inside no but respect it's your decision.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 26/05/2021 19:50

@Dyrne - The Covid vaccine is different from other vaccines as it doesn’t necessarily stop you getting it and spreading it; it’s more to do with limiting the severity of the disease if you catch it.

That's not true. The covid vaccines are the exact same as every other vaccine in that they reduce your chances of getting it. No vaccine is 100% effective. Most also reduce the severity of the disease if you get it.

Suzi888 · 26/05/2021 19:53

Yes, couldn’t care less.

VaccineSticker · 26/05/2021 19:56

@Baluchistan95 you need to stop to reading anti vax made up rubbish online.
The vaccine doesn’t shed onto unvaccinated others.

I tell you what? I wish it did shed, because we would all be immune now in the fastest, and cheapest way possible mist efficient way.

Sigh....

lisamarii · 26/05/2021 19:57

I don't care and I only know whose had a vaccine because they've offered up that information. I'd never ask someone.
