There is also a UK trial going on for teens where they will get 1 dose of pfizer then 1 dose of

If you google the person in this article, you can see a petition regarding the Novavax problem.

That story has made the front page of the Observer this morning, @Woventabby. It just confirms to me that I did the right thing in getting my NHS jabs, but I really feel that I shouldn’t have had to lie to do so.

With all the high profile media coverage, surely something will have to be/will need to be resolved in the next week? I’m over 50, still blinded, so entitled to a booster……but unsure what will happen!?! My crossover doses have all been recorded on the NHS app (only for travel and not domestic), so I can’t even go for an ‘approved vaccine’ now.

Feels like a complete shambles……

Seems Valneva is back on. Glad for ppl on the trial.

The SNP still suck , as they only cared about the £ as it was being manufactured in Scotland.
1 said the UK govt should apologise to Valneva, and those in the trial.

I replied , the Scottish govt need to apologise to every Novavax volunteer first. They'll delete it. I'll re-add it.

I got a letter yesterday from the trial Centre with a letter from Novavax attached. A complete waste of their time to write it and mine to read it. Paying for PCR tests for travel? We're working on it
Clarity on boosters? We're working on it

I have stuck with it and am still blinded but am beyond fed up now. I suspect I am too late to get a different vaccine but feel very anxious heading into winter without any clarity on whether we are protected, will get a booster, etc and am furious about the travel situation. A friend is getting married in France next month and I can't go because I can't eat out, travel around or do anything when I am there.

Boosters out.

They seem to think they can keep us blinded too. Umm no I didn't sign up to lifetime blinding.

From my letter:

We have also recently received further information regarding reimbursement for fit-to-fly PCR tests, which is currently being reviewed for approval and will be implemented as soon as possible. Once we have received the approval needed, we will be in touch with you again with further instructions on how to claim.

@Torvean The lead investigator has come back to me this week to say she'll support me in getting a deployed vaccine. She has two potential courses of action up her sleeve and I will know which is best early next week. I've decided I definitely want another vaccine, but don't want to lie to get it. I'll let you know as things unfold in case you're interested in this too.

@CardinalCat - I'd also be interested. Particularly if there is a way to do it that doesn't involve harming the trial results. Even after all of this (particularly after all of this) I still want this vaccine to succeed.

@CardinalCat - I would be interested, too. I tried to see if NHS online booking would allow me to book, but the message appeared to say "You do not need to have vaccines", and wouldn't let me go further. I think I will wait for advice/announcements from JCVI on this issue before deciding to unblind myself. But if there is no way to get a booster (I am over 50) or NHS vaccines, there isn't even a point of unblinding immediately, as we will be unblinded in a couple of months anyway...

@CardinalCat Me too please! I'm on the same page as @KeepingOnKeepingUp, I'm still blinded and really want the trial to be a success, but I really want two doses of approved vaccine ASAP, and I don't want to lie to get it.

My GP said she would try to help me, but that was a week ago and I have heard nothing, I will give her a few days more and then chase.

I got a call booking my end of trial visit today, not until November. I am already unblinded, but I dont expect them to have any information for us :(

Dear Participants,

We are aware that there is much confusion regarding Approval, Booster vaccination and Proof of Vaccination. We are waiting for approval to send you the latest communication from Novavax regarding these issues and hope this is imminent.
You should all have your proof of vaccination on the NHS app (two green ticks) This is for domestic use. Please check this and let us know if this is not the case.
We have in the last few days spoken to many of you; however if you have emailed or called and not yet had a response please bear with us, until we have this communication from Novavax approved we are unable to respond to all your queries.

@Vargas my clinic told me that they would provide a supporting letter from NIHR to get ppl a 2nd vaccine.

I don't want another vaccine. And I don't feel we should e enough be in this situation.

@CardinalCat what are the options on taking legal action on the Scottish govt using HRA 98 article 14,,? DM me if you'd rather not put it here.
