Yet more chat about novavax, (un)blinding, general vaccine passport stress, approval (please please please) and more.
Those involved in other vaccine trials also welcome.

@NotMrsTumble @CardinalCat and anyone Scottish still in the Novavax trial I have news. I managed to get Kate Binham's email ( ex head vaccine task force and Novavax volunteer).

She's given me a host of suggestions to contact to solve our matter. I plan to contact everyone mentioned.
I'll copy in the email.

Will you back me up by emailing/twitter as well.

That said I think most of the avenues she mentions have been tried already. I hope you get somewhere, those in scotland are especially screwed over!
I forgot have you tried to get an approved vaccine or is that impossible for you or perhaps you don’t want to go down that route

@Frazzled2207 yep. I managed to find her work email. I messaged her like after 5pm , I did not think I'd ever get a reply, but thought nothing to lose.
She's sent me 2 emails. I could not believe she replied. A Tory wife helping when SNP won't is crazy.
But I'm now a big fan of Kate Bingham. She also told me she's not very impressed with Novavax right now, so she's still in the trial.

Sorry @Frazzled2207 missed your Q. So when we got appt for our NHS vaccine they came by letter with a date and time. I got mine in April during crossover.

I had to call to cancel and when they asked for a reason I told them I was in a trial. So they've got that on my record and I can't go get another I've been told.

I'm not fighting for Novavax .
I'm fighting against the govt refusing to put us on the register.

@Frazzled2207 we have 1 hub here and it's still booked through Covid booking line.

Just seen that Spain have ordered a load more Novavax vaccines despite not accepting it as a vaccine to arrive into Spain... having said that I flew to the canaries this week and had the fastest transit ever through an airport. They barely glanced at any of our documents, my Spanish health form pinged when scanned. She asked to see my vaccine proof, showed her my NHS pdf and she waived me through. I am still blinded

@Frazzled2207 yep, only ever had Novavax. I did do a pcr as per requirements but nobody seemed bothered. Not advising people to travel to Spain without checking entry requirements but it was certainly less stressful than anticipated

Moderna #2 side effects update

Have felt really zonked today. Totally physically exhausted. Said to dh that if someone wanted to pay me £1000 to walk down the stairs I’d have said no thanks.

That said this evening I am on the sofa watching tv and although physically tired and have a sore arm am ok and I think getting better.

Overall marginally better than dose 1 where I got briefly shivery and had a headache too. Neither of those this time (yet)

Was kind of hoping I might be able to miss lunch at in-laws tomorrow but it looks like I might be ok by then!

@CardinalCat at @NotMrsTumble @Anyone Scottish. Anyone who cares, are you up to embarrassing the Scottish govt ?

Final Moderna side effects update for @andadietcoke after 48 hours other than slightly sore arm I am fine. I know I seem to get side effects less bad than you do, but for me 2nd Moderna was slightly but not significantly less bad than 1st. Managed lunch at inlaws today and Bil gleefully told me he had zero side effects with his Moderna.

I'm not willing for my full name to be posted as my surnames extremely rare. And you SNP militants...

So it's a phone interview with the politics writer in the P&J which is big here.

So I sent an email about the trial etc etc. I want to focus on no rational for refusing vaccine registry. And the fact we are disadvantaged.

I'm going to write bullet points to keep me on track
And so I don't accidentally say I'd like to slap....... ( joking of course I won't say it)
So if you have comments about
