Is anyone not having the vaccine and what are your reasons? Im in my 30s I'm not having the vaccine because I'm worried about the long term effects that might not come to light for a few years. Why are you not having it?
If you think the vaccine is amazing and anyone not having it is selfish you probably don't need to comment.

@Mackie2020

These threads make it clear that some people fundamentally don't understand how vaccines work or how to assess risk...
Yep.

Painful to see how thick some people are and want people to buy into their 'long term effects' crap. Yet another thread...yawn

paddyk · 24/05/2021 11:17

Why wouldn't you have it? The time is coming when you'll have to live with the consequnces of your descision, we cant keep society indoors forever.

Dustyboots · 24/05/2021 11:21

Government ministers passing contracts to their pals has always happened.

I agree. I'm not saying this is a new thing. But in the same way that passing contracts to pals is old hat, so is the focus being on making money rather than actually saving people's lives.

PlanetOfTheApesLives · 24/05/2021 11:25

OP you have multiple health anxieties and now you add in fear over long term effects, how do you manage to cross the road, drive, fly, do anything at all.

I mean chewing food gives the chance of choking, sitting in the sun having a picnic, what about a bee or wasp sting, walking in grass...have you heard of Lyme disease!
Perspective and balance is everything.

Just try not to start threads drawing others into the worry and speculation of what if the vaccine causes ...x y z

@speckledostrichegg yes, of course, call these scientists names, invoke "alt-right". In fact Dr Gold (sorry I got her first name wrong) speaks out very decisively about covid vaccines. She formed the group America's Frontline Doctors; this is their mission statement: www.americasfrontlinedoctors.org/about-us/mission-statement

Character assassination is one way to try and discredit doctors.
You posted an Irish Times link about Dr Cahill. As I've said many times here: I do not listen to the mainstream media. If you google these names you will always come up with links that say they are "debunked" or "give out misinformation". That's what the MSM does. That's why, to me, they are worthless. So, I do not read s

I listen to what she actually said. And she makes perfect sense.
There are others. Dr Sucharit Bhadi, for instance. The latest to speak out is the Nobel prizewinner Dr Luc Montagnier, who says .... well, watch it yourself! rumble.com/vhet7z-le-professeur-luc-montagnier-ne-mche-pas-ses-mots-cest-une-norme-faute-mdic.html
(French with subtitles)

(and of course the mythbusters are already out saying that he is wrong!!!!)

@Malahaha

The irish times link contained direct quotes from the interview.

So did she not claim that vaccines are dangerous and will harm people's health? And the clinically vulnerable such as people with cystic fibrosis don't need the vaccine and can build up their immune system "naturally"?

But how do you get round that? If there’s a virus, and a vaccine is produced, surely the money is a good incentive to get people working on it? Are you suggesting medical companies shouldnt make money from vaccines?

Simone Gold literally lost her job for being a terrorist and taking part in the capitol riots, do you seriously not see the issue with someone like that? It wasn't for "speaking out against the narrative"

i am very familiar with AFLD and the misinformation they spread - ivermectin is a valid treatment, vaccines are dangerous, masks are unnecessary, lockdowns are unnecessary

Malahaha · 24/05/2021 11:37

Oh yes, crossing the road, driving, flying, chewing food, sitting in the sun, having a picnic, bee or wasp stings, walking in grass, are all comparable to injecting your body, irreversibly, with a substance you know absolutely nothing about, just because your government has told you to do so!

I think she is right to ask questions. That's how we learn. We get answers, sift through them objectively, and arrive at an answer, even if it is only a personal answer. Ask away, OP!

No. She lost her job because she was treating patients, successfully, with ivermectin. Her boss told her not to do so because the insurance companies objected. She continued to do so, and she was fired. She tells us this on one of her videos.

Of course, you are welcome to believe the name-calling. That's what they always do when they want to discredit someone: call names. They are now calling anyone who is anti-covid-vax a terrorist.
I've watched her videos and I have to say if she's a terrorist I'm Meghan Markle! :)

Malahaha · 24/05/2021 11:41

Sorry, not ivermectin. She was treating time with hydroxychloroquine, and refused to stop doing so because it works.

Malahaha · 24/05/2021 11:42

Oh, and she was dismissed in writing, with that reason (controversial treatment) given, so it's there is black and white proof.

speckledostrichegg · 24/05/2021 11:44

@Malahaha

I'm not saying she's a terrorist because of whatever she is saying in her videos, I'm saying she's a terrorist because she actively participated in the capitol riots. I think you'll find most jobs will take offence at their employees engaging in that.

I mentioned the treatment of patients with ivermectin - again, you cannot choose to treat patients with a drug when there isn't sufficient evidence for safety and efficacy, no matter how strong your personal beliefs

speckledostrichegg · 24/05/2021 11:45

do you not see the issue here? HCQ has categorically been shown to not work in patients with COVID, no matter how much trump was promoting it

Malahaha · 24/05/2021 11:47

But how do you get round that? If there’s a virus, and a vaccine is produced, surely the money is a good incentive to get people working on it? Are you suggesting medical companies shouldnt make money from vaccines?

The point is that there were several cheap, effective and available treatments available last year but they were dismissed, ignored, and even disparaged, because nobody could make money with them. As I said earlier, follow the money.
A vaccine was never necessary. If they had used those cheap, effective and available treatments they could not have brought out "vaccines" under emergency use. That's still the case, which is why you still don't hear of these treatments in the mainstream media. It HAS to be a vaccine, and then it will HAVE to be a vaccine passport.

speckledostrichegg · 24/05/2021 11:47

Unless you are saying the photos were doctored and her arrest was faked?

@Malahaha

ivermectin and HCQ have not been proven to be effective and safe in treating COVID

She didn't. She actually talks about this in one of her vids. She admits that she entered the capitol building but not as a rioter -- she simply walked in because it was open and nobody stopped her. She was not rioting.

And her letter of dismissal is in writing. It has nothing to do with the Capitol riots, which were much later. She was fired last year.

Dustyboots · 24/05/2021 11:49

Are you suggesting medical companies shouldnt make money from vaccines?

Of course not.

Making money from creating something is different though from making such vast amounts of money that you're helping to fund governments. That's a different thing altogether. Can you see that @ Pumperthepumper?

There are photos of her in the Capitol rotunda, with a megaphone which slightly discredits that theory and explains her arrest.

Crabbypaddy · 24/05/2021 11:51

My favourite part is that you’re antivaxx for not wanting to participate in a clinical trial, which this is until 2023Grin

Wrong again. It DOES work. What you don't know is that the Lancet, the official medical journal that originally discredited HCQ, later retracted that article, a thing that has never happened before! But you won't hear about that either in the mainstream media, because you have to believe the original article that discredited it. That's actually a huge scandal, but no, they won't tell you,
