I’m sure this has been asked before so apologies , but just wondering how most people felt after the Pfizer , were any side effects relatively short lived?

OP posts:
HappydaysArehere · 18/05/2021 10:36

First jab there was a very small itchy area about the size of a 50 p just next to, not on the actual injection spot. Lasted about three days but didn’t bother me. The second time nothing.

littlepeas · 18/05/2021 17:14

Little update from me (had vaccine Friday morning) - my period just arrived 3 days early and I feel terrible - clammy, shivery, nauseous, horrendous period pain. I normally get a few hours of moderate discomfort that goes with ibuprofen...I’m in bed after feeling like I was going to pass out on the school run!! No idea whether it’s linked or just a coincidence.

LondonWFuck · 18/05/2021 17:23

I had first Pfizer yesterday morning. Arm was slightly sore, fine now. No side effects apart from a really really good sleep last night and some mad dreams (could just be coincidence). Also feel a bit tired and ratty right now but that again could be due to any number of things 🙈😂

You had the jab at the same time (ish) as me. I’m sorry you’re feeling unwell still but I’m kind of also relieved because I’m still not feeling right whereas so many others are. Even my husband had his at the same time as me and is feeling fine.

I’ve had this headache that’s bothering me and I’m feeling week every so often. Physically better than yesterday except my head still hurts on and off. I was debating whether to contact 111 but I’m scared I’ll have to go to hospital. I know it might seem silly but I have really bad health anxiety and hate hospitals/doctor’s etc. Plus it’s my birthday Thursday Confused

GypsyWanderer · 18/05/2021 17:58

Also @littlepeas my period started yesterday and I’m not sure how much of it is PMT related!

Hestyo · 18/05/2021 18:04

Had mine 6 days ago.
Sore arm the next day, and on and off tummy ache for 2 or 3 days. I've also been really tired by late afternoon everyday but suspect that might be unrelated as surely it can't still be having this effect.

WhyDoIFeelAwful · 18/05/2021 18:05

@fairyannie how are you feeling now? I had my 1st dose 4 weeks ago and I've been feeling worse & worse. Headaches, dizzy, vomiting etc. I keep thinking I'm ok, then I stand up and almost fall over.

Have you asked 111? The leaflet I got said to contact someone if you have any headache that’s still there after 4 days, especially if it’s getting worse. I’m 4 days after jab with a bad headache and After reading the leaflet it freaked me out and I’m scared to call anyone.

Really bad headache. Can't stop it.

Just been sick the once. Feel sick.
Been putting dizziness down to new varifocals I got the day before jab.

I've had some bad migraines but this is front of head - incessant. Paracetamol no good. Anything stronger sends me to sleep.

Just feel - 'can't be bothered'.

Can't remember last time I had headaches.

Migraines are well controlled - definitely not migraines (no auras).

It's like I'm dehydrated - but I know I'm not.

Crabwoman · 18/05/2021 18:25

Had my 1st 24 hours ago. Felt fine until lunchtime today. Now I feel like a felt when I was in early stages of pregnancy. Neaseous and woozy.

fairyannie · 18/05/2021 18:32

I've not contacted 111.

I work from home and just plod along apart from one day a week where I look after my granddaughter. I had to give back word last week because I was too ill to drive.

I didn't read the leaflet. 😳

I don't think it's got worse.

Just feels like a vice.

One of those headaches where you can't summon the strength to smile.

I’ve attached the bit of the leaflet I read in case you don’t have it anymore.

I’ve actually been having auras and I only know what they are because I looked it up. Weird tingling scalp, hurts to touch it.

How did you feel after the Pfizer jab

Please contact 111, if you don't need to be seen then they'll say so. It's worth getting an assessment, that level of pain is not usual.
WhyDoIFeelAwful · 18/05/2021 18:52

I think i threw the leaflet away, as I felt okay straight afterwards. I've been to GP. She said it wasn't vaccine related. But it definitely is. Is it worth calling 111 if I've seen GP?

LizzieSiddal · 18/05/2021 18:55

fairy I think you should contact 111 too. Having a headache for that long needs to be investigated.

Wasabiprawns · 18/05/2021 18:56

Had my 2nd the Thursday before last (3 week gap between 1st and 2nd). Still feel tired /worn out in the afternoons and a headache that is more of a dull background annoyance- only really in the afternoons though. I did sleep longer and didn’t wake up at 6 as I usually do - managed to sleep till 8.30 at the weekend which is very unlike me! Only really arm at injection site after the first dose.

Yeah I would. I don’t think it can hurt. They do an online chat I think that I might do but my headache comes and goes so not sure if I should or not.
TolkiensFallow · 18/05/2021 18:57

First jab - sore arm
Second jab - like death for 3 days

whatswithtodaytoday · 18/05/2021 19:02

Quick update - I had Pfizer on Sunday, just had a sore arm yesterday, but had shivers/hot feeling overnight and am really tired and blah today. My son has a bug so possibly that, possibly a mix of both? I feel like I could sleep forever but can't sleep when I try to. Paracetamol helps.

Flaunch · 18/05/2021 19:05

First dose nothing at all
Second dose I had a headache immediately and then a low level headache for 10 days. Today is the first day without a headache since.

WombatChocolate · 18/05/2021 19:09

I had my 2nd dose at weekend.

Felt fine. Day after, pretty tired, but essentially fine. It was the weekend so I just had a quiet day....I’m often tired, so it wasn’t anything that seemed unusual.

WhyDoIFeelAwful · 18/05/2021 19:15

Thanks for posting that @GypsyWanderer, it's really helpful. Just called 111 and awaiting a call back. If you do call, don't ring 119, it's just recorded messages.

No problem. Please let me know how you get on ❤️
WhyDoIFeelAwful · 18/05/2021 19:43

They don't know what to make of it. Said I should be referred, but don't know to which department. GP again in the morning.

WhyDoIFeelAwful · 18/05/2021 19:45

To be honest, I'm not sure there's much they can do apart from tell you to take it easy and drink plenty of water. But maybe you'll get better suggestions.
