I’m sure this has been asked before so apologies , but just wondering how most people felt after the Pfizer , were any side effects relatively short lived?

OP posts:

First Jab I felt fine the next day but then day 2-5 felt like I had a hangover. Also had really bad dizziness, no pain in arm at all.
Second jab I had a sore arm and day 2 til now (day 5 post jab) have been dizzy and fainted several times.

EwwSprouts · 17/05/2021 17:43

After the first one just a dead arm for 36 hours. After the second one dead arm plus fatigue so bad I missed a day of work.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 17/05/2021 17:45

1st dose, sore arm and a bit tired for 3 days.

2nd dose was Saturday, sore arm is getting better today, feeling very tired and a bit nauseous today but not bad enough to stop normal activity.

That sounds scary ❤️

Ist jab: head fell off and rolled under the table.

2nd Jab: Boobs went up four sizes ( husband pleased).

Heads still a bit loose, but so grateful I had it.

LizzieSiddal · 17/05/2021 19:21

1st- had 4 days of feeling utterly exhausted, achy plus very bad headache and could not work.

2nd- felt more tired than normal for a couple of days but nothing like after the first jab.

All the poeple I know who’ve had “bad” reactions- have been women. Don’t know any men who’ve had a reaction apart form a sore arm.

Orangesand · 17/05/2021 19:23

@GypsyWanderer

I’m going to contact 111 tomorrow if my headache hasn’t gone. Not sure if it’s completely normal or not.
I've been worried about my head ache too! After my second dose (had the Friday before last) I had a headache start on Wednesday and it lasted (coming and going constantly) until Saturday (4 days). Only now just really easing
TheFlis12345 · 17/05/2021 19:25

1st dose: slightly ache / heavy feeling in arm for 2 or 3 days, no other ill effects.

2nd dose: very slight tenderness in arm the day after then absolutely fine.

HunterAngel · 17/05/2021 19:28

I had a sore arm for a few days after both jabs. A few hours after the second jab I had a fit of shivering but a couple of paracetamol and a good nights sleep sorted it out

dontcallmelen · 17/05/2021 19:29

First dose, arm very sore & swollen for a few days a lingering headache that lasted a couple of weeks, second dose arm sore for a couple of days nowhere near as badly swollen headache & fatigued for a day so much better.
Was dreading it as was also told second dose side effects could be worse, which fortunately wasn’t the case with me.

confuseddotcom090 · 17/05/2021 19:31

Has anyone done this to see if their arm has gone magnetic?!
It looks like BS (how the hell?!) but I'm curious nonetheless:

Really rubbish for days after the first, fine after the second

dontcallmelen · 17/05/2021 19:33

I spoke to my consultant re the headache, she said it was relatively common, time to worry if blurred vision/numbness issues with speech.

Lovebug06 · 17/05/2021 19:35

I had Pfizer this morning. I just have a sore arm so far.

Random question but did anyone's periods go weird after they had it?

whatswithtodaytoday · 17/05/2021 19:36

Had mine yesterday afternoon. Headache in the evening, went with paracetamol. Sore arm overnight and this morning - it hurt to lift it but I could still manage to wash my hair. It's ok now, a bit delicate but not sure. Had a wave of feeling shivery this afternoon but it soon went, now just feel a bit tired and need an early night.

I had 2nd Pfizer 10 days ago.

Had headache every day since. Front of head/above forehead and at temples.

Done absolutely nothing today as it's making me feel sick.

Gone through loads of paracetamol.

Will you let me know what 111 say?

Wasn't linking it to vaccine. Was wondering if I'm drinking less liquid as I feel shocking when I wake up - like a hangover headache. (Haven't drunk alcohol for years.)

pipsqueakbollock · 17/05/2021 19:39

Arm didn't bother me - just same as flu jab but a bit sore.

Pfizer #1 a bit cold (Feb)
Pfizer #2 utterly shit and stayed in bed 24 hours

99.9% sure I had Covid in April 2020. Felt exactly same exhaustion, brain fog and heavy aches with dry throat and nausea - all identical. I never had a cough.

WhyDoesItAlways · 17/05/2021 19:40

I had mine on Friday. Arm was only sore when touched or when I rolled onto it in the night. I did wake up feeling pretty hungover but not entirely sure that was a side effect of the vaccine Wine

NoPinkPlease · 17/05/2021 19:41

I had my first on Friday. Sore arm from the evening then nausea all day Saturday and most of Sunday. Sleepy all of Sunday and some of today. Feeling a bit more normal this evening but feel like I could sleep any time I wanted. None of these things were awful though.

usernotfound0000 · 17/05/2021 19:41

Had mine last Thursday afternoon. Very sore arm started almost immediately, on Friday it still hurt and on Friday afternoon I felt a bit ropey. Early night Friday and woke up feeling normal on Saturday, arm was still a bit tender but no where near as bad.

8dpwoah · 17/05/2021 19:44

48 hours after my first one, wouldn't have known I'd had it. Sore arm til today, maybe a bit tired for a few hours after but I am pregnant and don't go out much (WFH) so think it was just as much the 'excitement' as the jab itself! I've also heard the second Pfizer can be a bit rougher so it's good to see not everyone has had that.

BlueLobelia · 17/05/2021 19:44

I am 48 and have had both jabs (I have asthma)

First jab- sore arm for about 2 days. Really sore, could not lie that side. No other effects.

Second jab (9 days ago) I was headachey and tired day after. Then headachey day 2. I slept the first day after away. Soreness at injection site minimal.

Sense of emotional wellbeing and happiness on the other hand fro ebing habbed- through the roof. :)

Henio · 17/05/2021 19:45

Slight sore arm but absolutely nothing else

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 17/05/2021 19:48

Sore arm but apart from that I was absolutely fine.

Happyschool · 17/05/2021 19:50

Very tender arm for a day or so and then headache and shivery a few days later both times and kept sleeping. I do have an autoimmune condition . I then woke up next day fine again both times
