I'm
Surprised how many people don't. Have the app- how do you order prescriptions? Our suit her only has one very inconvenient hour a day when you can phone .

Good reason here only see a Dr every 15 years or so No prescriptions
RockingMyFiftiesNot · 16/05/2021 08:43

@Carriemac for me it's because the rare prescription I have needed (one in the last 10 years) was printed out by the doctor during my appointment. Even if I'd needed a repeat prescription, I'm guessing the app wouldn't have existed then.

Lumene · 16/05/2021 08:43

I had never heard of this app before this thread.

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 16/05/2021 08:45

I don't see how the information displayed on the page will work as a "vaccine passport", unless there's another update coming. All it shows me is date, vaccination and batch. There's no personal details on there at all. I could be showing anyone's record!

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 16/05/2021 08:50

@BlackLambAndGreyFalcon the details of the person whose vaccination record it is are available by clicking on the home

UnsolicitedDickPic · 16/05/2021 08:51

@bitheby

This is England only so no use in the rest of the UK.
I think Wales will be doing similar - we just have to wait a few weeks.

@Halloweenrainbow

I don't want anything to do with it - not just now anyway. Sounds like too much personal info in one place if hacked etc could cause a problem. Maybe I'm just paranoid Confused
Same here, although I suspect everyone’s file is on this system already if it was to be hacked.
BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 16/05/2021 08:52

Yes but the way it has been described was that the information was all going to be on one screen, rather than having to click between screens.

Oops premature post.... press in the home icon (picture of house) within the vaccination status page - the vacc status can only belong to that person

@notangelinajolie

5am last night, I couldn't sleep and decided to have a go at downloading it. Yes, it worked and I had a good read of my medical history Hmm I didn't realise how many times I had visited the GP.

I'm also in the group of people that the Gov has decided that our 2nd jab should be brought forward to 8 weeks. So I did that as well and changed my appointment. I'm now wondering if that was a good idea. I live in an area with very little transmission and I could count on one hand the number of times I've been out since Christmas. I've read that for immunity the AZ second jab works best after 12 weeks. I'm now thinking of changing my appointment back to the original 11+ week appointment I had.

I live in one of the areas of the country with the lowest case numbers and 2 people in hospital in whole county with Covid.

We still have the Indian variant shut a whole year group at a secondary school.

The Indian variant has sadly spread everywhere now. My town is as far and a different to e.g. Bolton as you can imagine.

Didn't stop the Indian variant.

Just checked mine it’s in there !! Amazing x

Zzelda · 16/05/2021 09:03

My registration seems to have got stuck on checking whether my photo matches my passport. It's not claiming that it isn't me, I've just got the whirring circle of doom going on and on for ever. Most frustrating.

PuzzledObserver · 16/05/2021 09:18

they now have my id document, facial recognition image and fingerprint ID (which I use to access the app)

I can’t vouch for the others, but I’m pretty sure the fingerprint never leaves your phone, it’s just what the phone uses to verify you.

itsgettingwierd · 16/05/2021 09:21

Yes I noticed this yesterday. I wondered if it was the status passport thing as beforehand it was just under immunisations.

I must get my ds forms to the GP to link to my account as he's has his first now and I think 2nd is now 8 weeks after and not 12? (So 5 weeks time)

WombatChocolate · 16/05/2021 09:24

Why do some people not need to put photo ID on? I haven't been asked for it.

How long does it take to add 2nd jab? I had mine done yesterday so realise it might take a while to update.

Thanks.

I wonder if the ID thing is to do with whether you are already signed up via your GP to manage prescriptions online - I signed up for this via my surgery a while ago, but haven't signed up for full access to my records so can only see my medications and allergies not the full history.
wantmorenow · 16/05/2021 09:31

Doesn't work for Wales either.

I'm worried about this too
LemonTT · 16/05/2021 09:35

@SweetCaroline895

Mine only shows the first dose, should the second one be there too?
It can take a bit of time to feed through the vaccine systems. Not more than a week or so.

It’s locked to your ID recognition which has been verified.
TheAlphaandtheOmega · 16/05/2021 09:42

I had to submit photo and video of me saying 4 numbers, glad I used my passport as that is recent and I look similar my driving licence has an old photo where they used a picture of a nearly expired passport. It will take up to 7 days. I did have my NHS number but haven't visited the GP for several years so that's probably why I had to do the photo and video.

I guess people don't have regular prescriptions. No one in my family does
HappydaysArehere · 16/05/2021 10:05

My GP supports the app “My GP” which is also NHS. Went through it and it asked me to contact surgery to release my medical info. I did this by email. They replied same day and I was able to complete it. The vaccination is in the medical section. They are also on about a Ticket which you complete with a photo. I put one on but when I went into it again it still needed completing with a photo again.

I also downloaded the NHS app and it just required an email and a password so gave them the same one as the other NHS app and the vaccinations came up straight away.

lljkk · 16/05/2021 10:06

wow, my jab is in there. :)
