That's weird about photo ID, it's not asked me for any.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 16/05/2021 07:33

@RockingMyFiftiesNot

Why do you need to send a passport pic? Can't see anything about that on the NHS app I've just downloaded.

I've just downloaded the app thanks to this thread and it asked for photo ID, I scanned in my driving licence. Apparently it can take uk to 7 days to have app enrolment approved?

I now have access - approval must be automatic. I can see vaccine record and medication record .

Note to avoid the same confusion I had initially - this is the NHS App, not the NHS COVID App

covetingthepreciousthings · 16/05/2021 07:35

I can see my vaccine record and prescriptions with no photo ID approval, strange!

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 16/05/2021 07:37

@covetingthepreciousthings how strange that it isn't consistent. After uploading the ID I also had to take a photo of myself so it could check it was my ID!

Had you already been approved by your Drs to order repeat prescription and book appointments on line
Hotcuppatea · 16/05/2021 07:39

I've got it on the app too. Good stuff.

AlexandraEiffel · 16/05/2021 07:40

@RockingMyFiftiesNot did you use NHS number or other details? It implied there might be more to it if no NHS number so I went and found mine (and no photo ID needed)

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 16/05/2021 07:41

@AlexandraEiffel I used my NHS number.

I was discussing this with someone a couple of weeks ago when the vaccine status started to be on and they had to do all the photo ID stuff. I've not got round to doing it as the faff is putting me off

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 16/05/2021 07:45

@AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair it took no time at all - took photo of driving licence, answered 2 questions about the photo then pic of myself. No hassle at all

Funny you should mention driving licence, I also need to re-do my photo card as I know the covid extension ends soon but as I have used my passport for so long I'm not sure where it is Grin

covetingthepreciousthings · 16/05/2021 07:48

I had my NHS number so maybe that's why there was no need to input Photo ID

I think that must be it as I have now also had an email from GP practice as well as NHS (automatic response obviously) saying I now have access to my records online. I hadn't ever registered previously as I have been lucky enough thus far to rarely need the GP.

I entered my NHS number but still needed photo ID, I think it was probably because I'd not registered for online access before
daisybrown37 · 16/05/2021 07:56

Thanks for this - have just downloaded. I used my NHS number and had to do the ID thing, only took a minute to do, just need to wait now!

buckleten · 16/05/2021 08:02

My husband downloaded this last night using NHS number but he still had to scan his drivers license and let it take a photo of him to compare, then said it will take up to 7 days to check. I did mine and it was no problem, info all there but I do have patient access for ordering repeat prescriptions etc already so perhaps that's why.

Twickerhun · 16/05/2021 08:03

I also entered my nhs number and still did the photo id. I hope the nhs is safely managing all our data - they now have my id document, facial recognition image and fingerprint ID (which I use to access the app). Plus obviously my sensitive medical data.

Halloweenrainbow · 16/05/2021 08:10

I don't want anything to do with it - not just now anyway. Sounds like too much personal info in one place if hacked etc could cause a problem. Maybe I'm just paranoid Confused

JustMeAndWheatley · 16/05/2021 08:15

I didn’t need to use photo ID but my vaccines aren’t there.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 16/05/2021 08:15

I have photo id for some apps on my phone so just added this app and that was all it wanted.

RachelRaven · 16/05/2021 08:17

Theres an app for ordering prescriptions?! Wth!

SweetCaroline895 · 16/05/2021 08:17

Mine only shows the first dose, should the second one be there too?

bitheby · 16/05/2021 08:18

This is England only so no use in the rest of the UK.

covetingthepreciousthings · 16/05/2021 08:18

Mine shows both.
SweetCaroline895 · 16/05/2021 08:20

@covetingthepreciousthings oh really, I had second dose in April and it's not there, not sure if I need to do anything or who to let know
