Anyone had their first vaccine this week?

If you've had your first dose this week, what did you have?

Just interested as at one stage they were saving some of the Pfizer/AZ for second doses and will need some of the Moderna for 18-30. I know we'll get extra deliveries though.

3 days since AZ now and no side effects noted.

Had the Moderna today. Glad I did and proud of myself I've been anxious about it. Is anyone else finding some of the other threads scary? I've had it and now I'm panicking because of others posts.

Well done Mumma really good

I know, the site isn’t good atm. A few posters really ramping up fear with unsubstantiated stuff. Numbers are extremely low generally and things are looking good and there’s a weird skew towards the bad.

Hang in there

Thank you, @MarshaBradyo
It is bad isn't it, doesn't help the anxiety!

It tends to be the same few posters each time; half are overly anxious without good reason and the other half are anti-vax (or approx half). Moderna is a great vaccine; excellent trial results and low chance of any bad side effects (like all the others for that matter), in a few weeks you'll have excellent protection from covid. You made a good decision.

@MRex thank you. I've been on Mumsnet for years and never known anything like it.

@MummaPI I've got the jab Thursday. I don't want it, had covid, don't do flu jabs but will be having it just to have some sort of life. Don't know about you but I'm at greater risks of blood clots from the contraceptive pill and I've been happily taking that for 25 years.
Well done on overcoming your anxiety.

@Rowgtfc72 thanks, hope yours goes well too
