Follow-on to the happy thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4210673-Can-the-40-49-age-group-now-book-their-vaccine.

(I'm jabbed, but just here to read happy news of jabs and try to book DH when it's his time.)

I've tried so many times I'm now worried the message will change to "how many times do we need to tell you you aren't eligible yet?" Grin

Bordois · 23/04/2021 11:30

The booking page currently says you are eligible if youvwere 45 or over on 30th March 2021 so it looks as if that may be the cut off for each year group. So some places have moved to 44 or over on 30th March.

@GhoulWithADragonTattoo

I’m 43 and was actually invited last night for appointment in London. My first appointment is next week Smile
Is this GP or central NHS?

Smile I also fear they will permanently ban me from the website.
GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 23/04/2021 11:44

Direct from hospital.

sheeplikessleep · 23/04/2021 11:47

@EasterIssland

Looks like March / April 77 might be the pivoting point between being able to book and not being able to. Someone in February can but not someone in June. Might be the same as what happened with 45 that the stopping point was March.
I’m May 1977 and got through the online system last night for the first time of trying.
BunsyGirl · 23/04/2021 12:00

@ILookAtTheFloor He’s June 77.

Delatron · 23/04/2021 12:02

Friends from July 76 and Nov 76 couldn’t book today. I’m May 76 and booked last night.

AlexandraEiffel · 23/04/2021 12:34

Thank you Mumsnet I'm booked!
I'm pre May 77 as mentioned below and got straight through on the national booking website (after trying a gazillion times in the last few weeks/months)
Hoping for speedy updates for those the other side of the cut off

Mine was national booking service

ArtemisFlop · 23/04/2021 14:26

Had first jab yesterday. 42. Asked my GP surgery last week when they would offer it to me and they said expected late May but suggested as I live nearby I put my name on reserve list. Last night they rang me as they'd had a cancellation during the day and asked how quickly I could get there. If you're keen to have it and could attend at short notice, it may be worth asking if your local surgery has a reserve list for cancellations.

they are 45 aren't they?
Delatron · 23/04/2021 14:31

@EasterIssland so I’m May 76, 45 next month they were born July 76 so 45 in July. It might be the oldest 44 years olds first if that makes sense.

Don’t worry @EasterIssland I had to really think about it myself! The school year split always throws me 🤣

BellaintheWychElm · 23/04/2021 14:48

I had a text from my surgery yesterday and got mine done this afternoon - I'm November 77

DobbyTheHouseElk · 23/04/2021 15:02

I’m 43 (I think ) and I’m booked. It’s very random. Don’t lose faith. I was in your shoes yesterday.
