Follow-on to the happy thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4210673-Can-the-40-49-age-group-now-book-their-vaccine.

(I'm jabbed, but just here to read happy news of jabs and try to book DH when it's his time.)

I’ve read that they are holding back and building supplies of moderna and Pfizer for under 30s in England but are partially giving them to under 30s in wales to get the ball rolling.
So much for vaccinating people in order of age groups. Totally unimpressed with this.

This confirms what I’d been thinking. I’m sure 30’s will get vaccinated before me. They will forget the 40-44’s.

We have been checking every day and this afternoon it allowed my 44 year old husband to book his vaccine. We are in West Yorkshire loads of availability from tomorrow onwards. They must have started opening up slots for under 45’s so worth checking if in the next age bracket.

Sloelydoesit · 22/04/2021 16:42

I'm booked into Guy's

bottersnikes · 22/04/2021 16:47

Just booked my first jab. 44 in the southwest.
I've been trying the site for days and it finally let me book this afternoon!

user34254356 · 22/04/2021 16:49

@DobbyTheHouseElk i feel the same, we've slipped through the cracks

OMG thank you so much!! I've just managed to book myself, 44 in East Anglia!

TankGirl97 · 22/04/2021 17:05

I'm checking for dh 43 daily and no joy yet (South West).

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/04/2021 17:06

I’m booked in!!!!! Gave it a second try and it let me in.

Took a few attempts to book. It kept chucking me out. But it’s booked in. Hope everyone else gets booked in. Keep trying, all I can say.

Website is crashing a lot.

WarriorN · 22/04/2021 17:06

Wtf? 44 and seem to be able to book!

Was half asleep monotonously doing it and suddenly realised the No wasn't there...!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/04/2021 17:06

@TankGirl97 I’m south west too. Try again. I tried this morning and no joy. But it let me in now.

Squidthing · 22/04/2021 17:10

I'm 44 and couldn't book about an hour ago (SE London), will try again though in a couple of hours.

WarriorN · 22/04/2021 17:10

MRex · 22/04/2021 17:10

I couldn’t either a couple hours ago but could 20 mins ago!!! Can hardly believe it
WarriorN · 22/04/2021 17:16

Who hoo! First one at the nightingale in Washington on Monday, and second at Centre for life, Newcastle!

Wakeupin2022 · 22/04/2021 17:17

Do you just do it on the NHS Web page? National one?

I'm 42 so will wait a bit longer before I try. But its good news. And locally nearly 90% of over 50's done and I think over 50% 45 - 49 so hoping it won't be too much longer.

Squidthing · 22/04/2021 17:19

Ignore me, just got in and booked - hooray!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/04/2021 17:22

MRex are you booked yet?

BobBobBobbing · 22/04/2021 17:24

WarriorN- Dont know what direction you are coming from but there's a load of roadworks round the Nightingale associated with the A19 work at Testos roundabout. You can get there and it is well signposted (took dh on sunday) but you might need a little longer than you think to get there.
