Follow-on to the happy thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4210673-Can-the-40-49-age-group-now-book-their-vaccine.

(I'm jabbed, but just here to read happy news of jabs and try to book DH when it's his time.)

Great new title. Let’s hope it’s another happy thread of lots of people able to book and being jabbed. Thanks for setting it up.

EasterIssland · 14/04/2021 16:00

placemaking, same position as you mrex! I'll read about it here sooner than In bbc/sky news and I need to book DH who is 43

KatherineJaneway · 14/04/2021 16:01

Thanks @MRex

Cuntryhouse · 14/04/2021 16:01

🤞

Frazzled2207 · 14/04/2021 16:02

checking in for gossip

LacyEdge · 14/04/2021 16:04

Will be watching this thread so I can tell DH (a slip of a boy at 44 and 11/12ths) when to book. Thanks for starting it, OP.

KatherineJaneway · 14/04/2021 16:05

I can't tell you how grateful I was for the previous thread tipping me off about booking Monday night. Fingers crossed for 40 - 44 group being able to book soon.

MRex · 14/04/2021 16:07

76,123 first doses yesterday, a gentle start so let's see how the 40s do tomorrow.

Waiting for the next update on the 40-44 go

Hoppyfrog · 14/04/2021 16:10

Thanks for setting this up, I will be checking it many times a day I'm sure! Very keen to get the vaccine booked as soon as I can.

Placemarking

Squidthing · 14/04/2021 16:14

Watching and waiting - 44 and a bit jealous of my 45 year old DH who got booked in the day before the official announcement thanks to the previous thread. Hopefully not too much longer.

TokyoSushi · 14/04/2021 16:14

Checking in, 41 and hoping I could get vaccinated by the end of this thread!

WombatChocolate · 14/04/2021 16:22

Here’s hoping for bumper supplies, more approved jabs and excellent confidence and uptake across the UK....and the rest of the world too.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 14/04/2021 16:25

Love the idea of the 40 to 44 year olds watching and waiting to pounce at any moment. Hopefully it won't be longSmile

MarcelineMissouri · 14/04/2021 16:25

41yr old here - can’t wait for my turn!! And still very happy to receive AZ.

mogtheexcellent · 14/04/2021 16:27

My DH is younger so he has to wait Grin

Managed to book both of mine yesterday but need to change the 2nd one as I forgot the at end of term school closes earlier Blush. Anyone know how I do this?

Frazzled2207 · 14/04/2021 16:29

I think getting the 40 somethings vaccinated is just fantastic. Of course important to do the most vulnerable first but the 40-49s are such an important chunk of the working age population. Not to mention we make up a significant chunk of parents of children who probably will be waiting to be vaccinated for some time (if ever). Once we have all had ours that will be another huge step forward.

PollyIndia · 14/04/2021 16:31

Got mine today. Booked Monday afternoon.
At our local library they were doing jabs for anyone who could get there so I sent my 36 year old cafe manager and she got jabbed there and then. She was so pleased as her dad died of Covid so she has been anxious and we’ve been dealing with the public throughout except for jan when I stayed closed

moochingtothepub · 14/04/2021 16:33

Same here @MRex

Pleased my brothers have finally been able to book

Cailleach · 14/04/2021 16:35

I am 44 and has mine yesterday. Feeling rough today but just shows it's working I suppose.

Butterflyfluff · 14/04/2021 16:35

Anyone know how I do this?

You have to cancel the second one online and rebook but you can’t see what availability there is to rebook until you’ve cancelled the first one

Freestylemum · 14/04/2021 16:36

I'm precisely 2 weeks from being 45, but didn't qualify this time. DH 46 and just back from his first vaccination (sore arm so far). Watching with anticipation...

NeedingCoffee · 14/04/2021 16:36

Website not behaving well here; keeps offering a location and then saying no appointments, or getting as far as selecting an exact time and then saying no appointments. So I think there has been a nice flood of bookings using up current availability and we might have to wait a few more days for supply to be promised and hence more slots (SE)

Cailleach · 14/04/2021 16:36

Had!
