Astra Zeneca one?

People are only posting about their side effects, I would like to know if many people don't experience any?

I had mine yesterday morning and was tired last night but then again I'd had about 3 hrs of sleep the night before so I'd have been tired anyway. Slightly achy arm but otherwise I'm absolutely fine so far anyway and it is almost 36 hrs later

ilovesooty · 13/03/2021 19:29

@simbobs

I had mine yesterday and don't have as much as a sore arm. From reading threads on here I had expected to be laid low. It was the AZ one. No after effects does not equate to it not working.
Same here.
KoalaKube · 13/03/2021 19:35

Had mine Wednesday, no side effects at all. Prepped just in case, clean sheets on bed, paracetamol at the ready etc, nothing , had to look really hard to see the puncture mark. Not had Covid.

Mrsorganmorgan · 13/03/2021 19:36

I had second Pfizer vaccine today. Husband had Astra Zenica two weeks ago. He felt unwell for about 4 hours. He is fine now.

I had no side effects from first vaccine, so who knows what will happen after the second. At the moment I am fine and had the vaccine about 7 hours ago. (Still better than having the illness)

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 13/03/2021 19:37

Yep. Both my parents.

Dad had 1st AZ
Mum had both Pfizer

Immaback · 13/03/2021 19:38

My mother and father had none (late 60s) myself and my sister were floored- flu symptoms for 24 hours (late 30s)
I think age is a factor in this

ChiefBabySniffer · 13/03/2021 19:40

I had the Pfizer. I have a lot of agents so was a bit worried. But nothing happened. Nothing at all. The black ink on my tattoo was a little raised but that often happens (2-3 timesaver year) with allergies so can't say it was the jab. My husband and sister had the sale and had a sore arm, that was the only side effect.

prettyLittlefool · 13/03/2021 19:41

A sore arm has nothing to do with a vaccine. Saline injection would do the same thing. It's just a little muscle damage any IM injection would create.

notrub · 13/03/2021 19:50

My 80 yr old mother had no side effects.
Her 70 yr old neighbour - no side effects.
His 60 yr old wife - felt a bit rough for a day.
30 yr old daughter - no side effects.

CeeJay81 · 13/03/2021 19:57

I had AZ. Apart from waking up slightly achy with sore arm in the morning I fine. Sore arm had gone by the afternoon.

MadKittenWoman · 13/03/2021 20:01

DH had Pfizer a few weeks ago; no effects. I'm having same tomorrow, so will report back.

Lancrelady80 · 13/03/2021 20:12

Had mine Thursday evening. Less hassle than the flu jab initially. Bit of a headache but not much.

11am Fri I suddenly came over shivery, very cold and generally feeling dreadful. Headache much worse. Colleague who had his immediately after me (coincidence) felt similar. Arm much more sore. Managed to get through day on paracetamol but shivers and general unwell feeling returned when it wore off. Temp of 37.8 an hour after I had taken paracetamol, wish I'd checked before!

Today I feel fine other than a sore arm, which as pp said is side effect of a needle in the arm rather than the vaccine itself.

Anecdotal evidence around here is Pfizer = most people fine, AZ = most people feel a bit crap (to a greater or lesser degree) from about 18 hours afterwards up to about three days.

It is what it is, not much of a price to pay for the protection it will hopefully afford me.

Insertfunnyname · 13/03/2021 20:13

both my parents, and my mother in law, and I (34) have all had the AZ vaccine and none of us had any symptoms at all! Not even a sore arm.

sarahc336 · 13/03/2021 20:17

My work colleagues all had this he, out of 8 of us inwas the only one to be ill Smile

sarahc336 · 13/03/2021 20:18

If you are ill it's pretty rough, I've had covid and I actually felt worse after the vaccine Confused

NannyR · 13/03/2021 20:23

I had the AZ last Saturday and didn't have any bad side effects. My arm felt slightly sore, but not as bad as the flu jab, the only sort of side effect I had was that my arm and shoulder has felt a bit muscle achy all week, a bit like I've been doing a lot of exercise.

2boysand1princess · 13/03/2021 20:34

Both my parents had zero side effects with Oxford.
DH and I had Pfizer, he had zero side effects and I had a sore arm for half a day.

Mykittensmittens · 13/03/2021 20:34

Had mine yesterday and quite surprised due to everyone genetically linked to me having a horrible time.

I took to my bed at the usual time expecting to wake up feeling awful. I took a thermometer and a pack of paracetamol with me. Woke up at 6am thinking ‘this is it’ turned out I just needed a wee, then couldn’t sleep out of relief!

I’ve got a poky shoulder, like it wants to crack or it’s achy. And I’m tired tonight almost like I did a night flight last night or I’ve got a bit of jet lag.

Other than that I’m Bob on.

RoseWineTime · 13/03/2021 22:39

DH and I had slightly sore arms only - we are part of a trial so either had Oxford or Pfizer but don’t know which.

RedRiverShore · 13/03/2021 22:40

DH had his yesterday and hasn't as of yet, not even a sore arm, age 60 and AZ. I haven't had mine yet

thistimelastweek · 13/03/2021 22:43

Husband had Pfizer and no side effects.
I had AZ and no side effects.
Looking forward to round 2.

Littleguggi · 13/03/2021 22:44

Me
Just a sore arm

Comefromaway · 13/03/2021 22:45

My in laws had no side effects at all, my mum was a bit fatigued the next day. My dad & my daughter had aches, were feverish and slept the entire day.

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 13/03/2021 22:45

Just a sore arm. But that's to be expected, it isnt the vaccine just that they've gone IM.

I now have covid.
The vaccine was a walk in the park in comparison.

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 13/03/2021 22:46

I should add
I have covid 7 weeks after and judging by my DH I would be far worse without the vaccine.
