Curious to know how many 50-60's have been vaccinated so far under the age category rather than vulnerable or health care?

OP posts:
zafferana · 06/03/2021 08:53

The NHS booking site changed the age on its front page to 56 and up last night. So anyone who is 56 and up - you can now book online!

tinytemper66 · 06/03/2021 08:57

Not yet. In South Wales and am 54 (55 in the summer) and am predicted to have it between 9-19th April, according to my health board.

Puddstalk · 06/03/2021 13:08

Online booking site has now been updated to 56 and over

woodhill · 06/03/2021 13:44

When is the follow up jab though?

At the time I was told 3 weeks

Furrybutts · 06/03/2021 15:22

woodhill I had mine last Thursday and was told 12 weeks

I can't see if your post is in response to an earlier one but if you book through the NHS England system you book both appointments at the same time, it comes up with the earliest time for you to have the 2nd one.
MotherBuckets · 06/03/2021 16:10

I just booked my DH who is 56 his jabs today (we are in West Yorkshire). Thought I'd try mine - I am 'only 51 - and it let me book mine too! Appointments are in 10 and 12 day's time.

I messaged my friend in Norfolk, she's 53; she tried too but it wouldn't let her book yet.

woodhill · 06/03/2021 16:25

Thanks

My 1st appointment was sent to me via text

bewilderedhedgehog · 06/03/2021 17:25

Thank you for posting that 56+ can now book - have booked my appointments!

ItsAllACrock · 06/03/2021 19:23

When you logged in to the website to book did it say you have missed your first appointment? I'm trying to book my dads and this message came up but he hasn't had a letter or text.

Just ignore that @ItsAllACrockand carry on, I've seen it mentioned quite a few times as just being a quirk in the system
troppibambini6 · 06/03/2021 19:46

Dh had his last Tuesday he is 51 we are in Trafford.

ItsAllACrock · 06/03/2021 20:18

Thank you @FlyingBurrito I'll try again and book his appointment

WombatChocolate · 06/03/2021 20:33

Remember too that you can call 119 to do it until I think 11pm at night if something seems to stop you progressing.

TheSimpleThings17 · 06/03/2021 20:40

Yes, Worcestershire two days ago, I’m 51 - received text from GP to book in at surgery. Partner 42 also had theirs this week but they are Group 6.

Did your GP contact him? The NHS website is stating appointments for people 56+ are now available. I'm only asking because DP is 51. A friend in their late 50s has an appointment on Wednesday for the first jab.

I got a letter from NHS today, advising me to book online (I'm 59). So I have! First vaccine within two weeks, and second booked for early June. So excited and grateful. Am a teacher, and it's a huge relief. Norwich.

Me too. I'm 59 and I'm having mine on Monday.
DidgeDoolittle · 06/03/2021 22:28

Should have said that I'm in Staffordshire

I didn't see this message when I booked. It did offer me a first and then a second appointment though - I think I would try and book, but it should give you both appointments. I hadn't had a letter or text either - just needed my NHS number. If that doesn't work, then I would hope that the 119 no should be able to help?
SophieB100 · 06/03/2021 22:33

It's such a relief to have a date booked isn't it @DidgeDoolittle?

CandyLeBonBon · 06/03/2021 22:34

Having mine tomorrow!

Cisonostatibellagiorni · 06/03/2021 22:44

Some of my colleagues have, Swindon. (Not work related)

YouAreYourBestThing · 06/03/2021 22:45

Having mine next week 🙏 I'm 57 🙌
