Curious to know how many 50-60's have been vaccinated so far under the age category rather than vulnerable or health care?

OP posts:
OliveHenry · 04/03/2021 09:51

I checked the NHS booking website last night and managed to book both my appointments.

I'm 50 and in South Yorkshire.

I was surprised it let me book - I even backed out if it and double checked the details just in case I'd accidentally made myself 70!

OliveHenry · 04/03/2021 09:52

backed out of it that should say (oh for an edit button!)

starbrightstarlight8888 · 04/03/2021 18:41

I've just had a text from the gp offering me mine. I'm in my 30s.

Purplekitchen · 04/03/2021 18:54

Yes, last week, age 55 in Gloucestershire.
DH 53 still waiting.

LindainLockdown · 04/03/2021 18:56

Perhaps the people booking on the website when they shouldn't be are contributing to the uneven distribution, I will be waiting until my group (9) are being done before trying to book online if I haven't heard anything.

Vicliz24 · 04/03/2021 18:57

56 Notts but I have asthma. My 58 year old DH hasn't yet

WombatChocolate · 04/03/2021 19:12

Another thread is mentioning upper 50s being able to book on the national site.
Lindain, the national site only lets you book if you’re eligible. The only way to lie is about your age and your GP records will show that as wrong and not identify you.

Always try your details in the national site as it lets people through before the front page is updated. It’s a way of managing bookings so too many of an age group don’t all flood the system at once.

RaininSummer · 04/03/2021 19:21

Not yet. In Devon.

woodhill · 04/03/2021 19:23

Yes I've had mine

132orbust · 04/03/2021 19:34

52, South West London, not a sniff but three friends have had it in the last two week at only a year or two older so ever hopeful.
They don't have any medical conditions either and live within 0.5 mile of us so in theory it shouldn't be long.

TheWindOnTheMoon · 04/03/2021 20:09
  1. Had mine last week, Wiltshire.
TheWindOnTheMoon · 04/03/2021 20:11

Meant to add I was invited to have mine but could also have booked online as I'm a registered carer for DS.

Honeyroar · 04/03/2021 20:15

My husband has just been invited (54). I haven’t (51) but his GP surgery is different to mine and had a much better reputation, might be a factor!

ScribblingPixie · 04/03/2021 20:26

Update: invited by text today, 57, no health issues, London.

Failingbettereverytime · 04/03/2021 20:35

No. 57 and nothing yet. Fingers crossed as I'm back in school on Monday. Secondary teacher in Surrey. DH is group 6 and hasn't heard either.

Xiaoxiong · 04/03/2021 21:57

One of my colleagues has been done this week and one will be done next Weds, both 50s, both West london. I'm 37, Berkshire and had a text today to book so I'm going in on Monday, I'm in group 6 but they were both called by age. My auntie is under 60 and has just been called as well (also Berkshire).

cabbageking · 04/03/2021 22:05

Hubby 59 tried to book online but it threw him off re age.
But group 7 are being done presently ( over 60s) so he know he is not far off.

There are x amount of people queuing per day for any spare vaccines at the unit.
This group is made up of a range of people with out any issues from 20 to 60. They may be lucky and they may not be. Hence there are some much younger people without any issues being vaccinated to save waste.
The chemist next door to above was also calling people in with the booking confirmation to speed things up.

cyclingtowardsbethlehem · 05/03/2021 07:12

DP is 52 and is having his today at the GP. Se London. Invited by text.

LondonMummer · 05/03/2021 07:24

Turned 50 on Monday. Received invite yesterday. Booked in for Sunday. North London.

QuidditchQueen · 05/03/2021 07:27

Lots of people in my area (SWLondon) over the last few weeks. Texted by GPs -presumably they have run out of older people on their GP practices.

daisypond · 05/03/2021 07:45

Nothing here - SW London. I’m 55 with serious health issues.

WaterGarden · 05/03/2021 07:50

Not me in East Surrey. This politician is 49 and saying he's low risk has had it. Croydon

Anyone over 50 had theirs yet? Where are you?
AlwaysLatte · 05/03/2021 08:20

I've just turned 50, no health issues and I have mine today. My brother had his a couple of weeks ago (56). I think things are moving quicker than they thought.

reprehensibleme · 05/03/2021 08:25

54 and first dose yesterday. DH 61 and nothing yet - Scotland.

wincy · 05/03/2021 08:37

I'm 58 and in Bristol. Just tried the national booking site and it has given me an appointment for next week!
