Or very minimal?

Reading the threads and thinking I picked a very bad day for the jab. At a chemist’s, bound to be AZ, I think?

Yes, both of my parents had nothing more than an achey arm with AZ.

YukoandHiro · 26/02/2021 07:56

It will be AZ at the chemist. My symptoms were only bad enough to stop me from doing anything else for 12 hours (between 12 and 24 hours after the jab) and resolved by 36 hours. I had it on Sunday and still have a bit of a dull headache but have been back to normal since Tuesday morning.

YukoandHiro · 26/02/2021 07:56

And yes depends on age. Over 60s don't seem to get much

fairydustandpixies · 26/02/2021 08:02

Both my parents had AZ and three friends. Only my mum and one friend had a horrible 24hrs of side effects.

Londonnight · 26/02/2021 08:02

Had mine at GP surgery over a week ago. No side effects at all, not even a sore arm. Son had his too, and no effects for him either.
Elderly parents had it, no side effects for them.

Yes loads of people I know in H&S care.

Not so, both me and my DSis are over 60 and I was knocked out for 2 days and still have an odd symptom nearly 2 weeks later (reported) and my DSis was out for a day.
Morph2lcfc · 26/02/2021 08:06

I had ax and felt really rough for about a day. It did ease off quite a bit with paracetamol though and wasn’t long lasting

AwkwardSquad · 26/02/2021 08:06

Yes, of family members and friends who have had the AZ vaccine, only one has felt poorly afterwards.

Robinkitty · 26/02/2021 08:07

Had AZ on Wednesday so far nothing more than an achy arm and a couple of very good nights sleep. I’m 37 and believe I had COVID beginning March. Fingers crossed.

0blio · 26/02/2021 08:08

Me, no side effects at all, not even a sore arm.

A 'bad day for the jab?' What do you mean?

There seem to be a suspicious amount of posters on here recently rubbishing the AZ vaccine Hmm

Rillington · 26/02/2021 08:13

Yes. My arm was tender to touch for a few days. I had no other symptoms at all. I am CEV.

CeeJay81 · 26/02/2021 08:17

Following this cause I'm hoping I don't get any. I have a 6am work shift the day after I get mine đŸ˜¯. I've warned them that I might not be in though. The only 2 people I know who had AZ both felt rough the next day.

starfish4 · 26/02/2021 08:24

My friends aged 54 and 51 didn't have any side effects. I felt mildly sick later in the day, but fancied pizza and chips, eat a massive plateful and didn't feel any worse. DH did get the shivers and aches, but managed a 8.5 hour day yesterday.

Try not to worry, literally go and enjoy the fact you're getting in and protection, also AZ one is known to reduce transmission so you're protection your family and friends.

FuzzyPuffling · 26/02/2021 08:26

Not me. Seven days post Vaccination and I'm just beginning to feel more human. BUT...I have a health condition that made this pretty inevitable, and am extremely glad I've been vaccinated. Imagine what covid would have done to me?

AnyFucker · 26/02/2021 08:28

My husband, the jammy beggar. Not even a sore arm.

I was floored for 24 hours after my Pfizer.

MintTpls · 26/02/2021 08:29

My mum, nothing but an achy arm.
Uncle and sis in law had the chills and cold-like symptoms for a night or two.

BigmouseLittlehouse · 26/02/2021 08:30

I had AZ yesterday morning. I do have a very sore arm and some mild symptoms, but all manageable with paracetamol ( and I’ve been able to look after my two young kids in my own fine).

Only thing is I did get a slight temperature which I guess might prevent some people being able to work.

ImAncient · 26/02/2021 08:31

I know a few who’ve had it that felt mildly off but equally some who didn’t even have a sore arm. I know loads of people who’ve had the AZ as local pharmacies are doing the bulk.

Florelei · 26/02/2021 08:31

I had the AZ on Wednesday. Felt a tiny bit shivery in the evening after the jab but woke up early Thursday feeling like I’d been hit by a bus. I gradually improved throughout the day and by bed time felt much better.

I feel back to normal this morning. Still 100% worth it and I’d do it again tomorrow!

Angel2702 · 26/02/2021 08:32

I had it last week. Heavy arm for a few hours afterwards. Then nothing, couldn’t even find the injection the next morning. It was much better than the flu jab.

DH had Pfizer and had a very sore arm for 2 days, slightly more tired but nothing else.

Both of us in our 30s, but no known history of previous covid. I’ve heard those with more side effects have often had covid before.

Rockbird · 26/02/2021 08:32

Me. Arm was a bit tender but that's gone now. Had AZ last Friday.

WithMyOldCockLinnet · 26/02/2021 08:33

A bad day for the job if it is going to knock me out as I have major stuff going on this weekend.

The lengthy ‘side effect’ posts and threads are not balanced by ‘it was a breeze’ posts, which could be because people who had no after effects don’t bother talking about it, OR the majority of people feel flu-ey.

I am 100% behind as many people being vaccinated as quickly as possible, and am glad I got an appointment through the website.

Just not a good 3 days to be struggling.

Off shortly, (wouldn’t dream of wasting an appointment) fingers crossed!

Chatterbox1987 · 26/02/2021 08:34

Despite what you read, the vast majority will have no side effects apart from a sore arm. The only people that will post about side effects are the ones that have experienced them.

WithMyOldCockLinnet · 26/02/2021 08:35

LOL, on MN even a thread asking for people who had no after effects is full of people who did!

You have threads of your own Grin
