Anyone have AZ and has been side-effect free?

Or very minimal?

Reading the threads and thinking I picked a very bad day for the jab. At a chemist’s, bound to be AZ, I think?

@Chatterbox1987

Despite what you read, the vast majority will have no side effects apart from a sore arm. The only people that will post about side effects are the ones that have experienced them.
This is what I suspect.

I know lots of people who had zero or minimal side effects, including my husband who felt ill for about 3 hours. Surely a small price to pay. People who don't have side effects are not going to post about it all over the internet.

Florelei · 26/02/2021 08:38

@WithMyOldCockLinnet Grin ok so my DM’s friend in his 80s had the AZ and was completely side effect free!

RampantIvy · 26/02/2021 08:39

DH had no side effects whatsoever. He is 69.

YukoandHiro · 26/02/2021 09:04

@0blio stating the side effects isn't rubbishing AZ at all. I'm so so glad I've had it. But I couldn't have worked the day afterwards, so maybe that's what OP means?

purpleleotard · 26/02/2021 09:06

yes

Musicaltheatremum · 26/02/2021 09:09

Partner had AZ no effect
About 9 of my colleagues and staff had 2nd Pfizer last week. 5 of us felt horrendous the next day. Fortunately some of us were on days off or the weekend when we were floored.

Borntohula · 26/02/2021 09:10

My mum had no side effects.

NeedWineNow · 26/02/2021 09:19

My mum (84) and DH (67) both had the AZ vaccine. Mum said she felt tired the day following and her arm felt stiff for 2 or 3 days. DH had a slightly stiff arm the following day but other than that nothing at all. I'm just looking forward to mine - middle of April at the moment.

minipie · 26/02/2021 09:23

I had side effects from the AZ but it wasn’t a massive deal - I was shivery and achey that evening, had a sweaty night, back to normal the next day (save for being slightly tired).

My dad in his 70s had no side effects from the AZ.

WithMyOldCockLinnet · 26/02/2021 09:24

Yes!

I have no wish to rubbish the vaccine.

After effects is a small price to pay.

I am glad I am getting the vaccine (in the queue!)

Simply looking for experiences other than the many posters who have been too knocked out to work / do important stuff easily, because this is not a good moment for me.
Ah, well, time will tell.

Both DH and I had The AZ. No side effects at all not even a sore arm

Tartyflette · 26/02/2021 09:24

DH and I had AZ vaccinations three weeks ago. Both of us had no real side effects, just a slightly sore arm for a couple of days.

WithMyOldCockLinnet · 26/02/2021 09:25

Thank you those who have reported ‘no side effects’.

HereComesATractor · 26/02/2021 09:26

I had mine about 18hrs ago. I have a slightly sore arm (only notice it occasionally) and I woke up with a headache that disappeared with paracetamol - but the headache could have been due to a bad night with a wakeful baby!

CaptainMyCaptain · 26/02/2021 09:27

My mother in law and my daughter both had AZ without any side effects.

ellerman · 26/02/2021 09:28

I had AZ last week, slightly sore arm for 2 days. No other concerns. I am 56.

Springersrock · 26/02/2021 09:35

My parents, most of their friends, my CEV SiL, my brother and my PiLs have all had AZ.

My mum had a sore arm, my Dad had absolutely nothing. My brother, PiLs and my parents friends were all fine - a couple had sore arms and mild aches

My SiL was quite poorly, she’s on dialysis so the hospital tested her for COVID to be on the safe side. However, while she felt like utter shite, she had no breathing issues, no cough and by day 3 all symptoms disappeared and she woke up feeling absolutely fine. It did knock her off her feet, but none of the really nasty COVID symptoms and pretty short lived

Cactusowl · 26/02/2021 09:46

I had it yesterday, just have a slightly sore arm this morning.

BerryPieandCustard · 26/02/2021 09:49

Had AZ vaccine at the GP surgery.
Only side effect I had was a tender arm at the site of the injection.
I’m 35 if age has a factor

ImnotCarolineHirons · 26/02/2021 10:11

My Dad in his 80s had AZ and was absolutely fine, not even a sore arm.

Two other relatives in 70s with some health issues felt tired and a mild sore head the next day but said it was really very little compared to what they had expected.

Hope it goes well for you OP.

MrsFezziwig · 26/02/2021 10:23

Just minimal side effects for 2 people. Another felt poorly the day after but was fine the following day.

Tbh these threads are completely pointless, which is why I tend to question the motivation behind them. How do my side effects relate to your potential side effects? Information about the side effects are in the public domain, read up on them and if they include anything which would prevent you doing something important then change your appointment.

cuddlymunchkin · 26/02/2021 10:26

I know 5 over 70s and 2 in their 40s and they had no side effects at all! I was surprised too as I've heard on here that they are to be expected but no, nothing! Not even an achey arm!

Yorkshirepudding1987 · 26/02/2021 10:27

I had a dead arm and a pain in my armpit the following day. Was fine apart from that.

Yorkshirepudding1987 · 26/02/2021 10:28

And I'm 34 so not just older people that don't get side effects
