Carers Allowance/online booking of vaccine

It now states that people in receipt of CA can book online for a vaccine (on the very first page) however when I try I check the 'not health care worker or care worker' and it doesn't let me go any further for booking. Has anyone managed to book a vaccine this way yet as a carer receiving CA?

I wouldn’t have thought they could ask what group someone was in as isn’t group 6 vulnerable people aged 16 years and up as well as carers so basically asking what qualifies them to be in group 6

Yes its a shame I had to write to the Practice Manager. I am angry for all the carers who don't have time or don't know how to escalate this

I booked through the nhs link, at a big vaccination centre 20 miles from me. I'm not in receipt of carers allowance and my gp refused to flag me as a carer because my daughter who has asd 'hasn't got any underlying medical issues which make her more vulnerable to covid' and said I was classed as her parent as shes under 18!

I booked myself an appointment on the NHS link, went along with her DLA award notice and ehcp. I was asked twice why I was there and what proof I had. They then vaccinated me, good job I took proof! Saw one couple being sent away too.
