Hope no-one minds me starting this. Apologies if another has started too. Please can someone add the pretty pictures.

NB Please don’t take this too seriously- it depends what vaccine delivery speed and uptake you estimate so it’s not written in stone.

Please note, this is a thread to share good news and for wobblers to be reassured. Doomploppers will be met with scorn and derision!

I haven't had my hair cut since January 2020. It is very long and in a plait.

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2021 20:53

Fuzzy my hair hasn't been cut since Christmas Eve 2019 😳 It's in a bun.

Inastatus · 22/02/2021 20:53

@TJ17 😅 glad you found us!

Treaclepie19 · 22/02/2021 20:54

@OrangeBananaFish

You all talking about hair appointments. I'm looking forward to booking my next tattoo. I was saving up until March 2020 and still have the money put aside.
I'm hoping to get one this year too! Also hoping to see the band it relates to 🤞

Which story ? *@MarshaBradyo*
Pom

This one, totally unfounded, unknown sources reporting his supposed views. Quoted by all and sundry of course!

@Level75

It's "the end is really NOT in sight" Grin

Has that thread been deleted? I can't see it not that I looked or anything

I see a few cheeky monkeys have started some threads about being jolly. As if we haven't been here for months and months!!!GrinGrinGrin

I've been watching mine get alarmingly long. It is so dry and ratty now, it will feel wonderful getting it sorted. I'll feel like a new woman!
Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 21:16

Thanks @MarshaBradyo
The lateral flow data also isn’t reliable as most professions aren’t testing.

Autumn101 · 22/02/2021 21:18

I cut my own hair last week! Bought some ultra sharp scissors on Amazon, then when wet pulled my hair under my chin and cut about 6 inches off. It’s not perfect but is fine when in a ponytail - the ends were so scraggy and thin it was horrid. Can’t wait for the hairdressers to properly tidy it up though

amicissimma · 22/02/2021 21:18

Well thank you very much, @LivinLaVidaLoki. You've just made me eat one third of a 350gm box of halva which I found at the back of the cupboard (almost in date: BB Oct 2019, tasted fine, too fine). I've just read the packet - 520 cal per 100gm!!!

Yes, the NOT in sight thread has been deleted. I missed it. (Too busy eating halva)

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 22/02/2021 21:22

I got dh to trim my hair at the weekend. That’ll do for another year or so.

ElDanglio · 22/02/2021 21:25

Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 21:33

My hair is really long - I need DH to trim the ends- I like it blunt cut though and this may be beyond him.

Do you mean for schools. They are supposed to of scrapped the idea of using instead of isolating. So are now going to use to screen. Which means they may catch symptomless cases. Even if that is only a small percentage of those. That is better than nothing.
Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 21:40

@Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum no i meant the ons data on positive cases for education staff.

nex18 · 22/02/2021 21:46

It’s government approved good news today! So pleased that my teenagers will be heading back to school and to have some hope for future plans.
Dilemma though, do I go back to my chin length bob in April or should I embrace the lockdown growth and have a longer style? hmmm, decisions!

OrangeBananaFish · 22/02/2021 21:51

@FuzzyPuffling

orangebananafish I hope your tattoo is going to be of a coronavirus!
I have a couple of designs in mind (haven't decided which to get), but something to celebrate better times or something to remind me that better times are always coming is a good idea.

Also having the hair dilemma. Cut mine to a pixie cut when my DS was a baby. Not cut it since, he's 7 now Blushso I cut it short, dye it Ariel red and look ridiculous, go for a mid length style (and feel middle aged) or just leave it elbow length?

nex18 · 22/02/2021 21:53

🦠🌈
There you are @OrangeBananaFish I have designed it for you...

Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 21:56

@Reachersloveinterest don’t do a drastic cut - I’ve always regretted it...

It's a shame it was deleted. It's really important that we all remember through the optimism and hope that WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE.

I mean, one day. Possibly not for decades. But, still, ALL OF US. There is no hope.

Wink

Dye it red, dye it red! I'm getting my lob back once I can. I'd like to dye it too... maybe pink 🤷‍♀️

@Welikebeingcosy

Checking in. I guess I'm feeling a bit disappointed that any of my own personal restrictions won't be lifted for months still. But pleased to see the cheer it has brought to those with school aged children. I don't actually have any friends to meet where I live and would just love a toddler group or soft play for my little one or even a trip abroad to see the people I love and am really hoping those things won't be delayed. But it is warmer here at least so we can sit it out more comfortably and watch everyone else having their fun for a while.
Outdoor parent and baby / toddler classes can start 29 March I think but I don't think I've ever known of one except for the buggy walks which only tend to work with babies.
Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 22:49

Just a few suggestions for lockdown easing
