Hope no-one minds me starting this. Apologies if another has started too. Please can someone add the pretty pictures.

NB Please don’t take this too seriously- it depends what vaccine delivery speed and uptake you estimate so it’s not written in stone.

Please note, this is a thread to share good news and for wobblers to be reassured. Doomploppers will be met with scorn and derision!

@Level75

It's "the end is really NOT in sight" Grin
I have posted some pictures in that one already 😂
Level75 · 22/02/2021 19:23

I reckon it's a troll. Only one post by OP.

TeenMinusTests · 22/02/2021 19:25

Year 11 prom would be great.
(& Even better if anxious DD is well enough to attend.)

Inastatus · 22/02/2021 19:25

@louisejxxx - glad you are not too poorly. Hope you are fully recovered v soon.

FourTeaFallOut · 22/02/2021 19:26

It's crazy nuts on here tonight. It's a blur of dramatic predictions and deletions.

Inastatus · 22/02/2021 19:34

Chris Whitty with a big smile on his face talking about the incredible vaccine take-up 😀

Inastatus · 22/02/2021 19:35

Sorry, that’s me watching the press conference just now.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 22/02/2021 19:37

We now have some teachers complaining about having to wear a mask all day. Can't blame them I don't like masks. Definitely a case of you will never please everyone though.

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2021 19:41

That’s right Chris Whitty

The miracle of the vaccine

Exactly

carolinesbaby · 22/02/2021 19:48

Chris Whitty has JUST said that Teacher are not high risk (in the same way as doctors etc) and those teachers at increased risk due to their health are protected by being included in group 6 anyway.

Wonder if any other MN regulars saw that?

Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 19:53

Chris Whitty very clear that people working in schools are low risk.
We all await the thread to avoid which will start imminently 🙄

Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 19:53

Snap @Reachersloveinterest 😂😂

Can’t wait Grin

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2021 19:56

Whitty was great on schools

The amount of posters quoting that stupid media story on his disagreement over it 🙄

Pomegranatespompom · 22/02/2021 20:21

Which story ? @MarshaBradyo

Emlemily · 22/02/2021 20:24

Just realised that DS will hopefully get a graduation ceremony now this year too!

MadisonAvenue · 22/02/2021 20:25

Yes, I’ve booked mine! Hairdresser wasted no time getting in touch
BaconAndAvocado · 22/02/2021 20:32

I too have just booked a hair appointment for the 15th April.
Hallelujah 🥳

OrangeBananaFish · 22/02/2021 20:34

You all talking about hair appointments. I'm looking forward to booking my next tattoo. I was saving up until March 2020 and still have the money put aside.

Emlemily

Oh wow! DS1’s graduation was supposed to be last year......here’s hoping we’ll get our day of glory 😂

Welikebeingcosy · 22/02/2021 20:41

Checking in. I guess I'm feeling a bit disappointed that any of my own personal restrictions won't be lifted for months still. But pleased to see the cheer it has brought to those with school aged children. I don't actually have any friends to meet where I live and would just love a toddler group or soft play for my little one or even a trip abroad to see the people I love and am really hoping those things won't be delayed. But it is warmer here at least so we can sit it out more comfortably and watch everyone else having their fun for a while.

Racoonworld · 22/02/2021 20:43

Just had a thought, March last year we were just going into lockdown. March this year we are just coming out of lockdown (for good hopefully). Don’t know why but that thought made me very happy, this March is so much more positive than the last.

FuzzyPuffling · 22/02/2021 20:46

orangebananafish I hope your tattoo is going to be of a coronavirus!

TJ17 · 22/02/2021 20:47

I've been refreshing in a panic for hours thinking why has no one mentioned the briefing 😱😅😂

Then it just occurred to me to check for a new thread! Phew!

Well I don't know about anyone else but just to have a chink of light at the end of the tunnel is enough to keep me going for now 🌈

Feeling relatively positive (despite a family member just saying we won’t last until the 21st of June without another lockdown or change!! Without backing that up with any further information whatsoever and who also doesn't want the vaccine 😠)
