@JemimaPyjamas I’m so predictable 🤣 I had a wobble yesterday and booked some back up flights. Holidays are the thing we spend on, not too bothered about meals out/ cars although I probably spend too much on bags and toiletries.

I can't wait till we can return to Cornwall and see my family down there.

So happy today. Our Cornwall holiday is going ahead! (Albeit 5 nights rather than 7 as the site won't open til the 12th).
Although none of you will want to eat with me as I'm a cream first woman 😂
We've also rebooked all the nights away which got cancelled in various lockdowns. Feel so much better than I have for a long time!

Definitely, and clotted cream is the BEST kind of cream.

I’m now wishing I’d bought some from the Tesco Express this morning, can add some to my Tesco delivery for Friday but I’m very very close to the 95 item limit and I’ve still got to add my parents’ list onto it yet.

I had a break from MN and MSM for 5 days as I couldn’t seem to avoid all the speculation - wasn’t doing me any good!

Not sure if I’ll get through all the posts I’ve missed, so congratulations to anyone who’s had their jab or has got one booked in. Am so pleased for everyone with kids, hopefully a few weeks back at school and an Easter break with decent weather will make a huge difference.

The sun is shining here, so I’m going to spend an hour or so in the garden tackling some weeds.

I’ve booked Cornwall for August and intend to have a proper massive scone with jam and clotted cream everyday ha.

Also had a lovely email from our Easter holiday - they’ve managed to get us one of their cottages for 3 nights from the 12th April! So looking forward to being able to spend some much needed time with my parents

That's the way I've always looked at it Gratefulrunner! Clotted cream, thick enough to spread, and then a big spoonful of (blackcurrant for me) jam on top.

I'll do as I'm told at this particular picnic though, if it means I get some of the Marmite hummus!

What do we think my chances of a trip to France in the summer holidays are like?
Really would like to visit my parents, but currently can't book because rules still say essential travel only and so insurance is invalid. Can anyone point out any cause for optimism please?

I’m sorry but it HAS to be jam first, although in our house we are split down the middle with DD and I having it the ‘right’ way and DH and DS the ‘wrong’ way.

I agree cream first. I’ll add tequila to the picnic so we can all say we luffs each other after a few shots, despite our scone disagreement.

I am so tired today....still on post vaccine fatigue. I hate my stupid immune system.
