AstraZeneca side effects

Has anyone had side effects after more than 10 days? I'm feeling tired, and slightly nauseous, I had the AstraZeneca on 10th February.
Is it me being a hypochondriac, or is there something else going on? I can't get a doctor's appointment, there aren't any, up to and including 19th March.

I felt ill the next day and then ok ish, on about the 5th day I felt awful with nausea, diareah, horrible headache and visual disturbance and extreme fatigue

This was exactly my experience after my first dose. Thought I’d got away with a day of feeling achy and crap, then four days later I had all the same symptoms as you. No one else in my family got ill at all so I figured it must be the vaccine.

Thanks for your reply RUOKHon, that is very interesting. It feels covid like to me, not that I know really what that would be, but your experience
means it is more likely. I wonder how long your malaise lasted ? And good luck of course with your second dose.

Extreme headache and fatigue on day 6 here, mildly from days 4-10.

On and off fatigue till over 3 weeks post jab, with a possible revisit of aches last weekend (arm jab site ached too.) Feel fine now.

I was really excited to get the vaccine and had the expected side effects for about 24-48 hours. Then on Day 5 developed a headache that felt like something pressing on my whole head, sensitivity to sound and stiff neck. I also had stabbing ear pains on and off, and pressure in my sinuses and temples which came and went. Over the next few weeks I gradually felt better, day by day, but still have brain fog, occasional ear twinges, head twinges and a couple of days ago I developed calf pain. I managed to speak to a GP who said not to worry about the calf pain unless my lower leg swells up more than 3cm bigger than the other one.
It's good to know others have had similar headaches with no evidence of clotting. I will definitely be reporting my symptoms as I am sure it was the Astrazeneca jab that caused it.

Thanks for the reports of similar experiences - kind of reassuring, but not much fun for us to endure - especially if you are dealing with other health problems.

Is there any explanation for all that we are feeling?
I'm certain it's the vaccine effects.
Do we need to tweet or email any specialist or journalist to look into it further or raise awareness?

Notagardener · 21/05/2021 15:31

google yellow card to report possible side effect (I did)

passmethemilk · 21/05/2021 15:59

Thanks Notagareener yes I am planning to fill that in but I feel there should be something more Grin

Day one brought chills, which were mild compared to the first dose. Also lightheaded though, with occasional visual disturbances (like an ocular migraine) and nausea. The lightheaded feeling is only when I'm up and about. I'm at day 5 now and noticed a small bruise (size of a 5p coin or smaller) on my inner arm today.
