How many tests have you had?

I’m participating in one of the Covid studies and have had 5 tests in total. Two were due to symptoms and 3 were due to the study calling me in for tests due to headaches or a rash etc.

I’m happy to do my bit and go for tests when the app suggests it as it all helps to understand the virus more but I just feel a bit embarrassed about having had so many!

I’m in a public facing, frontline role if that’s relevant.

How many tests have you had?

None. Two DDs (primary) none. DH one but only because he was sent a random test as part of the NHS testing. It came back negative

About 15 - ONS study, all negative.
0 tests for symptoms though.

Lottie4 · 19/02/2021 08:47

I've had a PCR one as I lost my taste a couple of days after developing some sort of bug - negative. I now have LFT tests twice a week from work.

DH hasn't had any.

DD had one - hospital gave her a PCR literally 30 mins before being taken for emergency surgery.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 19/02/2021 08:47

Two. One negative, one positive.

MisgenderedSwan · 19/02/2021 08:47

10 - work introduced weekly testing. I find it quite comforting!

  1. I report symptoms on the Zoe study app so they have all been prompted by that. Last one was positive.

None.

Feels like hundreds! ( probably a bit less..)
I'm care home manager and we have one PCR a week and more recently also 2 LFD tests per week on top.

SE13Mummy · 19/02/2021 08:50

Three.

One as part of the random NHS testing, two workplace tests. All negative.

XiCi · 19/02/2021 08:53

I've probably had about 15 from ONS study. 2 LFTs from when there was widespread community testing round Xmas and a PCR when I had symptoms. All negative.

enjoyingscience · 19/02/2021 08:53

None. My workplace offers PCR testing, but I’m not in enough days a week (usually two - testing recommended if you’re in mire than three). The recommendation will change as things open up, so I imagine I’ll get one soon enough.

jay55 · 19/02/2021 08:53

One. Negative.

DH and I both two. First one for me was before admittance for surgery. The second was due to symptoms and was positive.

HavfrueDenizKisi · 19/02/2021 08:56

6 - all asked for by the Zoe app. All negative and all after reporting symptoms of sore throat, headache or fatigue.

Superspecs · 19/02/2021 08:59

I'm having three a week for work and have been since last year, prior to that it was weekly. I also participated in an early study right at the beginning which was also weekly for 12 weeks. So I would estimate I've had about 70+. All negative.

SleepingKitten · 19/02/2021 08:59

I'm a teacher but we don't get routine testing and I'm lucky that I've not had any symptoms that would require a test (yet!)

Waxonwaxoff0 · 19/02/2021 09:01

I'm doing the ONS study so I've had about 8 tests for that. Aside from that, one test when I had a symptom. All tests have been negative.

mumsneedwine · 19/02/2021 09:02
  1. Teacher and we have twice weekly testing. Plus I was getting them before seeing my mum in her care home. Still gag every time.
TravellingSpoon · 19/02/2021 09:03

Around 70.

Work introduced weekly tests in September, then when the LFD tests were introduced we have 2 of those a week, and if we have a positive staff member we then have them at the start of every shift for 7 days.
