This thread is intended as a positive place to observe our remarkable vaccine rollout as it progresses and to celebrate the ever increasing numbers as we go.

Polite notice: conspiracy theorists, doommongers and those looking for endless debate over vaccine efficacy, leave vs remain and one-legged trousers - this is probably not the thread for you.

So, to pick up from where we left off... a truly tremendous 10,021,471 people in the UK have now received their first dose of the vaccine - that’s 18.9% (or 1 in every 5.3) of all UK adults.

There’s no doubt about it - there is an unmistakable light at the end of this long, long tunnel and every day it’s getting brighter. Come on folks - let’s do this!!

Just a note of caution re the over 60's.

Those aged 60-64 will be waiting rather longer than those 65-69, because sandwiched between those two groups are the under 65's with relevant health conditions - and there about 8 million of us!

Should still all be done by mid to late March, though

Lovely thread. It's such a change to see some positivity. Other variants not withstanding, I really think the vaccines will be the answer to a summer of freedom.

Figures are very good considering the snow, won't be far off last weeks.

The snow may hinder us but it won't stop us🥰

Yeah it was snowboots round here but the pharmacy let carers/relatives escort vacinees* safely inside and back out again so it worked well.

Glad things are going in thee right place! FIL (69yo) and BIL(working in hospital doing diy) are getting theirs this weekend.

can I say how jealous I'm? haven't seen my family as they live abroad for over year now so can't wait to have mine so I know it'll be easier... but as I'm wfh young and healthy person doubt it'll be any time soon...

so seeing these numbers going up gives me hype that I'll have mine any time in the next months!

Looking like everyone that wants the vaccine will be done by end of June hopefully. So whilst a few months away not as bad as the earlier predictions ❤

So for every person in the U.K. that had a positive test reported today 28.5 people were vaccinated. I like that ratio
