As previous people have said media will make it sound much worse than it is. Even bofre we get more information.... The fact is old varient 1 person who caught the disease may die... Now that risk with the new varient has gone to 1.3 people... Obviously not ideal but Considering early on some people were talking about 5-10% mortality rate... Going from 1%-1.3% doesn't seem horrendous.

The thing I don't get about this thread - is that this situation isn't getting better. Is it?

There are more people than ever being infected, hospitalized and dying now.

It's great to be positive. But this is starting to feel like a denial thread.

Go educate yourself on the facts then come back and say sorry.

All scientists agree with this now. It's not doom mongering. It's common sense, fact, science. I love a bit of positivity and that's why I read this thread from time to time. But it's actually depressing reading cloud cuckoo land nonsense and denial.

Also are still saying the vaccine works on the Kent variants same as the old one. We haven't got evidence yet on the other variants out there. However the vaccines can get altered within weeks
