I followed some info I had seen on here and checked my phone settings for my app exposure notifications, just out of curiosity. However my app apparently hasn't checked for exposures since 24th Sept?!?! How has that happened?

No idea! I've checked mine and the last 2 days it's only checked for exposures 4 times a day. Whereas previously it's more like 10 times (including last weekend).

Can you uninstall app and download it again? Not great is it?

I managed to crash my app! I’d had an exposure report so have to isolate, was trying to find the exposure bit and somehow how managed to crash my app so and to uninstall and reinstall it which then wiped the alert! I’m going to isolate until the day it had told me, but that’s a slightly rubbish design flaw!

You don't look in the app itself but in the general settings on your phone - I think there is some privacy or technical reason.

Mine last check on 23rd Oct which seems a long time ago as I work in a public facing role so it's not like I am not near people.

Oddly, it says that ‘availability alerts’ (whatever they are) are unavailable because location services is off - but my location services is switched on 🤷‍♀️.

I, too, would like to know how you find this info - on my app it shows a choice of Veue Check in. Check Symptoms, Read Latest Advice, About this App and Enter Test Result. I have Contact Tracing turned on, and bluetooth enabled.

Optimist1, go into settings on your phone and you should have one option that says ‘Exposure notifications’ - the info is in there (though not hugely intuitive to find).

I've just been through my settings and can't see anything like that. Notifications and Bluetooth are on. I really don't get out much.

The app doesn’t work properly. I tested positive and when I went to put my result into the app, because I put my nhs number into the details when asked for it, the app wouldn’t then let me put my positive result in. So all the people I had been around in the days before I tested positive will not have been informed that they have been near an infected person.

Mine says it's not checked in the last 14 days! Yet it says its active and scanning, and I can see a venue logged

Mine has checked frequently. But no exposures. However I have a notification from the app saying I need to self isolate as been in contact with a positive person. But I have not been anywhere except work. No one tested positive at work. Told 10 days instead of 14.

However I have regular tests as part of a trial, but not booked via the app. . Confused. As been told to isolate for 10 days. I assume it’s from last contact. Worried somehow the app is linked via nhs number to my test results, which I normally get via email on a Monday and told me positive before email?
