Can’t see any map on Gov.uk
BBC postcode search does not include tier update.
Can anyone help me find the map?

Voting on the new measures isnt till Wednesday I believe, so I would doubt systems are updated till then.
Track and trace app still using low, medium and high risk at the moment.

Mindymomo · 12/10/2020 17:17

I don’t think it’s up and running at the moment. Only Liverpool is in the highest red tier. They are saying it will be put on gov.uk website.

Rafflesway · 12/10/2020 17:18

Totally unacceptable!

This information should have gone "Live" within minutes of the PM's announcement. 😡

Lolaloveslemonade · 12/10/2020 17:18

Thank you! I’ll save my panic until Wednesday then! 😂
I need to still see my 76 year old parents 2 hrs away 😥

Local radio station?

Lolaloveslemonade · 12/10/2020 17:20

I agree. People will watch the announcement, check the BBC postcode search or similar (still says we can mingle) and think they are able to carry on as normal.

I was wondering the same but couldn’t find anything. I hope that our local newspaper might put something but no.

Whirlwind14 · 12/10/2020 17:22

@Wheresmycider I read that the NHS test and trace app is only using ‘medium’ and ‘high’?

I’m in an area with 29 cases per 100k and it’s medium?

Itsabeautifuldayheyhey · 12/10/2020 17:23

Try your local newspaper. Mine has said we are in tier 2 but it is a major city and may have been brought up in HOC.

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 12/10/2020 17:24

New restrictions dont start until wednesday at which point there will be a postcode checker on gov website.

Flaxmeadow · 12/10/2020 17:24

Apart from Liverpool, It hasn't been decided yet what tier places will be in. As pp says, it wont be decided until Wednesday

Whirlwind14 · 12/10/2020 17:24

This is what the app currently says....

I guess it just depends what the benchmark in cases per 100k will be... under 100 tier 1?

I don’t understand what is going on! Here we all are braced for this announcement today of some sort of “sweeping measures “ and it seems to be a non-announcement (except for Liverpool).

He’s announced there will be a system but not said who will be in which tier or from when.

It sounds like he’s just set himself up for a bunch of negotiations with each regional council, that could go on forever!

Lolaloveslemonade · 12/10/2020 17:25

We really shouldn’t have to search for this information... Why is Gov.uk not updated?
If they’re voting on it on Wednesday, why confuse people today?!

Drip feed information and people will switch off.

Look at your local authority website. They will probably be able to give you relevant local information as it becomes live.

Lolaloveslemonade · 12/10/2020 17:28

Whirlwind So basically everyone is in the top two tiers with added restrictions?

I was wondering too. I've seen a couple of MPs and council leaders being shared on Facebook with their information. But when your MP is a big player (mine is Rishi) I assume he has better things to do right now.

ProfYaffle · 12/10/2020 17:29

The Guardian's saying the full list will be issued 'by the end of Monday'. I'm seeing dribs and drabs of information coming out on twitter.

It’s pathetic.

Me too Prof
Where are they getting this information?! 😂

Titsywoo · 12/10/2020 17:30

To be fair he hasn't 'announced' anything yet - that is at 6pm. He has just addressed parliament before he announces to the country so he may be more specific later on today.

Devlesko · 12/10/2020 17:30

We are tier 2 but our MP wasn't even invited to the briefing and all the others were. Shadow home sec too, it's abysmal.
She heard on twitter.

Jaxhog · 12/10/2020 17:31

I think it's already decided. The press is saying Nottingham and all of Nottinghamshire is Tier 2. Plus everywhere, apart from Liverpool, that is already under special lockdown measures. Liverpool is the only place in Tier 3.

Don't know how official this is.

Lolaloveslemonade · 12/10/2020 17:32

I obviously need to be patient... Will look again this evening!
